Whitney Way Thore Breaks Down History Of Half-Sister
In the Season 11 premiere, Whitney Way Thore opened up about how her father had another child which was a shock to her friends. No one seemed to have any idea about this half-sister from Glenn’s Vietnam days. Whitney claimed that, when her mother had a stroke, that was when she learned the truth. There have been some mixed stories about how she actually found out about her dad’s daughter and the true backstory. Now, in a clip from the show, Whitney has gathered her father, her brother, Hunter, and Buddy together to go through the entire history of how her sister came to be.
Whitney Way Thore has a notebook out and she is reciting the story of how Glenn met Angie’s mother. Prior to getting deployed to Japan in 1968, Glenn was sent to Pensacola where he met a woman named Jackie. They began dating but then, he received the orders for overseas. Of course, she revealed that she was expecting but she could not be an unwed single mother back in those days. Therefore, she was sent to a girls’ home and Angie was then put up for adoption. Glenn was off in Japan, came home, and eventually married Babs in 1977.
According to Whitney, Jackie was not heard from again until Aunt Kim, who is Glenn’s sister, went on Ancestry. She gets a message from someone named Cody who believes she is related to his mom. That is when the pieces come together that Glenn is Angie’s dad. Hunter thinks she is making it sound like a true crime podcast but Whitney notes she is the family historian. Of course, the fans cannot stand the way she handled it.
Stop Her
There was already an uproar about how Whitney Way Thore may have used her mother’s passing to make money. Now, followers who watched this clip had an increased disdain for Whitney. “Why can’t Glen tell his own story? Whitney just bulldozes her way into his narrative & takes over. Glen was just fine sharing what happened,” one wrote. Another added: “She is to bossy that is your father if the story has to be told let your father TELL it.”
