Only one week into Season 28, Big Brother‘s Yash Patel has made a name for himself. However, this isn’t the first time he has been on TV.
Yash joined 16 other Houseguests on July 9, including three reality show alums — Season 26 and The Amazing Race star Angela Murray, and Survivor‘s Rick Devens and Dee Valladares. He was rumored to have been the replacement for Levi Banks.
Yash, from Monroe Township, New Jersey, was put on the block in week one after being told by Dee that he was safe since he was in her HOH group. The 24-year-old felt betrayed and shared that he was coming after Dee. But, in the end, he got off the block when he won the Blockbuster, securing his safety.

His game show past
Yash and his family appeared on Season 2, Episode 4 of Fox‘s The Quiz With Balls in June 2025. They versed the Smith family. The Patels, which consisted of him, his mom, dad, brother, and sister, made it to the Bonus Round. They did not get the $100,000 as they answered the last question wrong.
He posted about their time on the game show on his Instagram. “Speaking of turning 24… YP on TV | Quiz With Balls: Season 2, Episode 4 Fox & Hulu,” he captioned the post, along with photos of his family on the show.
He is a financial analyst
In his Big Brother bio, Yash is listed as a financial analyst. According to his LinkedIn, Yash is a senior financial associate at Prudential, where he has worked since July 2025. Before that, he had a summer internship at the company in 2023.
Yash has also been a Senior Financial Associate at PGIM Quantitative Solutions, a Program Lead at RippleMatch, an Assessment Manager Summer Analyst at Hanover Street Capital, and various retail jobs.
Graduated with honors
Before finding his footing at Prudential, Yash obtained his degree in finance from Penn State University in Pennsylvania. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2024 with a GPA of 3.93 /4.0.
Throughout his time in college, Yash was involved in the Phi Chi Theta Business Fraternity, IES Abroad (Barcelona), Smeal College of Business Alumni Mentorship Program, and Smeal Ethical Leadership Challenge.
He loves to travel
There is not much on his Instagram, but what he does post is mostly travel photos. Yash has been to Kenya a few times, as well as Greece, Italy, France, Croatia, Spain, Mexico, Aruba, North Carolina, and more.
Is Yash single?
Yes! According to his pre-season interviews, Yash is very single. He said he is here to play the game and “find a wife.”
