
Dr. Emma Craythorne is back with a new season of Save My Skin on July 8. The series premiered in 2020 and features the dermatologist as she “diagnoses and treats patients with some of the most extreme skin conditions in the United Kingdom.”

Who is Dr. Emma Craythorne?
Dr. Craythorne has been working as a consultant dermatologist since 2004. She is currently employed by OneWelbeck and performs Mohs and laser surgeries, per LinkedIn.
She created the skincare line Klira. Per the brand’s website, “Our mission is to deliver the high-quality, most effective skincare in the simplest format. We prioritize clinically proven ingredients and the unmatched expertise of our dermatology team, who work closely with you to achieve the best possible results.”
In addition to hosting Save My Skin, Craythorne was also host of The Bad Skin Clinic and wrote the book Skin: An Owner’s Guide. She has a podcast called After Hours Skin Clinic, as well.
Craythorne attended the School of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Dundee, then received specialist dermatology training at King’s College Hospital in London. She completed a one-year fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous lasers at St. John’s Institute of Dermatology.
Is Dr. Emma Craythorne married?
Yes, Craythorne is married to her husband, Neil McDermott. They met in his hometown in Ireland when she was 16 years old.
The pair’s first meeting happened on the day a bomb exploded, which also sparked Craythorne’s interest in the medical field. She was struck by shrapnel and a doctor allowed her to stitch her own leg in the hospital.
Craythorne and her husband share three children.
Is Dr. Emma Craythorne Irish?
Yes, although Craythorne currently lives in the United Kingdom, she is originally from Northern Ireland. She then moved to Scotland for university before relocating to London for her specialist training and fellowship.
