Who Is Faith Ward? Meet Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader and Season 3 Rookie

America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Season 3 will introduce viewers to Faith Ward, one of the 2025 rookie candidates. From the moment she hit training camp, Faith was a buzzed-about member of the squad because she’s not from the United States.

Faith was born in New Zealand and moved to Australia when she was 9 years old. She admitted that she “never thought [she’d] actually get the chance” to audition for the DCC, but was drawn to the opportunity after watching Seasons 1 and 2 of America’s Sweethearts.

“It’s not just about dancing,” she pointed out in her DCC bio. “It’s about sisterhood, energy, and being part of something iconic. I’ve always pushed myself to chase big goals, and joining DCC felt like the perfect next step. It’s a place where I knew I could grow, be challenged, and be inspired, while doing what I love alongside a team of incredible women.”

What does Faith Ward do for a living?

In addition to being a professional dancer and a cheerleader for the Dallas Cowboys, Faith is also a content creator and makeup artist, according to her bio. She is known as “Flexi Faith” online, due to her insane flexibility.

Faith was just 2 years old when she started dancing and she began her competitive career by the time she was 10. She danced for Smash Dance Company in Australia. After winning national titles in New Zealand and Australia, she also began dancing and cheerleading in America, eventually beginning a professional career.

When Faith was 20, she began dancing aboard a major cruise line and worked there for “nearly a year,” her bio reveals.

How old is Faith Ward?

Faith was born on April 1, 2003, which means she is currently 23 years old. However, she was 22 when she tried out for DCC and when Season 3 of America’s Sweethearts was filmed.

Why does Faith Ward wear her hair up in a ponytail?

Social media puts Cowboys cheerleaders in the public eye even before they step foot on the field at a football game, and that’s exactly what happened to Faith during training camp in 2025. In Instagram and TikTok videos from camp, fans noticed Faith was the only team member to have her hair in a ponytail, as opposed to wearing it down and curly like her teammates.

She explained to ABC Perth in July 2025 that the ponytail was coach Kelli Finglass’ idea. “I’m in rehearsal one of the days with my hair out and I am, you know, sweating after doing ‘Thunderstruck,’” Faith revealed. “She’s looking at me and she’s like, ‘You know what? I really want to see what your hair would look like tied up.’”

Faith gladly took the advice. “I put it up for her and she really liked the way it danced, which was really cool because I was super excited about that,” she shared. “Your girl doesn’t want to have her hair out, sweaty in her face, dancing.”

During uniform fittings, Faith wore her hair up again, and Kelli told her, ‘You’re giving Ariana Grande. We need an Ariana Grande moment on the team.’” Kelli urged her to make the ponytail longer and blonder, as well.

At the time, the ponytail wasn’t “solidified,” Faith explained. Once she made the team, though, the ponytail was there to stay, as seen in photos and videos from games during the 2025 season.
