There have been plenty of magicians who’ve auditioned for America’s Got Talent, but Season 21 contestant Geno Ploeger is hoping to stand out. His audition will be airing during the June 9 episode, and NBC released footage of his act ahead of its television premiere.
Geno wowed the judges by doing a magic trick with cards, and he got emotional when the audience went wild for the performance. Mel B said, “I’ve never seen magic done so quick with so much showmanship. Shut the front door right now! That was brilliant, entertaining, magical.”

Who is Geno Ploeger?
Geno is a magician. He revealed on AGT that he previously interned for Season 9 AGT winner Mat Franco. “I learned from one of the greats,” he shared, while also giving a shout-out to Franco in his audition act.
Per LinkedIn, Geno is a 2026 Arizona State University graduate. He studied theatre at the school, while also showing off his magic skills on social media and building up his entertainment career.
