After 26 days packed into 13 episodes, the winner of Survivor 50 has been crowned. The results were revealed during the Survivor 50 live finale on Wednesday, May 20, on CBS. Here’s who won the $2 million, how it happened, and other highlights from the live finale, including a major spoiler accidentally revealed by Jeff Probst himself. Warning: Survivor 50 finale spoilers ahead.
Survivor 50‘s final five were Aubry Bracco, Tiffany Ervin, Jonathan Young, Joe Hunter, and Rizo Velovic (Rizo has been in the final five in back-to-back seasons now; he made it to the final four in Season 49). After fans voted to keep the fire-making challenge (60% of participants voted yes), there was one last tribal council elimination in the three-hour finale. After Jonathan won immunity, strategizing began. Rizo had an idol, so Tiffany’s best bet was to try to convince the Jonathan-Rizo-Joe alliance that keeping Aubry in the game was bad for them. Rizo played his idol, but he didn’t get any votes anyway. Aubry got one vote, and Tiffany was voted out with four votes against her.
The final four immunity challenge was Simmotion, and Aubry won. It wasn’t the most likely of victories, considering she’s only won individual immunity one other time in her past three Survivor seasons. Aubry won her spot in the final three with this victory, and she sent Jonathan and Rizo into the fire-making challenge.

Rizo lost that challenge for the second season in a row, ending his Survivor 50 journey exactly where he ended Survivor 49. Jonathan was also eliminated in the fire-making challenge in Survivor 42, so Season 50 became a redemption arc for him. Joe also repeated his personal history by being taken into the final three by the immunity winner. Kyle Fraser, who was medically evacuated out of Season 50 early, brought Joe into the final with him on Survivor 48.
Before the final tribal council, the family visits returned. Aubry’s mom, Joe’s wife, and Jonathan’s sibling arrived at their camp before they gave their jury pitches. After the final tribal, Probst revealed that the fans voted for a live finale. Probst read the votes live on the Paramount Studios stage in Los Angeles in front of a full audience.
The first vote went to Jonathan, the second to Aubry. The votes kept getting tied back and forth for the first six votes, and then Aubry started taking the lead until the majority was revealed. Aubry is the winner of Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans! She ran out to the crowd to hug her family immediately. Jonathan got three votes total, and Joe got zero.

- Cirie Fields was given a new award called the Spirit of Survivor Award.
- Rick Devens was gifted the coin from his $2 million coin toss with Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson.
- Mike White called in via satellite from France, where he’s currently filming The White Lotus, and revealed that Charlie Davis and Kamilla Karthigesu will be the Survivor cameos in Season 4.
- Ozzy Lusth was gifted a T-shirt that said, “Ozzy, we love you. Play the idol.”
- Jeff Probst accidentally spoiled the results of the fire-making challenge live on-air before it played in the episode. Here’s how he recovered.
- The Sia Fan Favorite Award returned, and this time, fans voted on who would win. Unsurprisingly, they chose Cirie.
- In addition to her $2 million, Aubry won a brand new Toyota Land Cruiser, and Toyota made a large donation to charity in Survivor‘s name.
