Why Gleb Savchenko Wants A Break From ‘DWTS’ Costars

TV Shows

Dancing With The Stars pro Gleb Savchenko admittedly needs a little break from his costars.

The 40-year-old dancer recently wrapped up the 2024 tour with several of his castmates before beginning another professional dance project. Although the Season 33 premiere is still several months away, Gleb wants to take some time away from the other DWTS stars.

Was there some sort of falling out? What exactly did he have to say about the subject?

Read on and see where Gleb Savchenko’s head is at the moment.

Gleb Savchenko Needed Time Away From The DWTS Gang

Several of the DWTS 2024 tour cast members reunited for a dinner to catch up. Gleb Savchenko was noticeably absent from the photos.

In a new interview, he confessed to needing a break from the other dancers. What’s going on?

At the moment, Gleb Savchenko is finishing up his run with Chippendales in Las Vegas. His performance schedule likely conflicted with the cast dinner, but that’s not the only reason he opted not to go.

It ultimately boils down to the cast spending so much time together as it is. Just like a family, Gleb wanted a little time away.

“I’m in touch with them. We just finished a month ago, so we all want a little break,” the 40-year-old dancer admitted in an interview with The Sun. “We were stuck on one bus for four months altogether, so we don’t want to see each other, but we still connect.”

The publication adds that Gleb did invite his costars to see him perform with Chippendales. Emma Slater, Ezra Sosa, and Britt Stewart all reportedly came to watch the show.

While it’s definitely a fun show for Gleb Savchenko’s fans, his friends may have found it slightly awkward. The Russian dancer reportedly strips down to the buff and takes a shower for his fans on stage.

Will The Russian Dancer Return To DWTS This Fall?

Despite needing a short break, Gleb loves and adores his coworkers. In the past, he’s even referred to them as one “big dysfunctional family.” He would love to return to DWTS this fall, if the show asks him back.

But as Gleb reminded The Sun, dancers don’t know if they will receive an invitation until the last week of August. He added that he wouldn’t leave DWTS to do Chippendales full-time, but he’d love to find a way to do both if possible.

Would you like to see Gleb Savchenko return to Dancing With The Stars this fall? Do you understand his need for space from his coworkers now and then? Don’t forget to add your voice to the conversation.
