In her personal life, Maggie is known for her relationship with Jackson Olson. He is an infielder for the exhibition baseball team, the Savannah Bananas.
Since their relationship has gone public, the couple has seen themselves the subject of various rumors. Recently, the two wanted to set the record straight about how they first met.
The two recently appeared together in a video on Instagram in which Olson expressed, “A lot of you guys have been asking how Maggie and I met.” He shared, “No, it was not at Disney, believe it or not.”
The rumor likely came about when the couple originally announced their relationship on the social media platform. At the time, they appeared in a photo together in front of Disney’s Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom in Florida.
It was then that the couple shared the real story of how they met. Olson explained, “On October 16 of last year, we both went to a Dodgers playoff game.” Sajak added that she and Olson actually followed each other on social media the month before. Both posted on their Instagram Stories about being at the game.
The Couple Shared That They Had A Love Story Made For The Digital Age
By chance, Sajak ended up appearing in one of Olson’s posts. She shared, “Then someone DM’d someone. Doesn’t matter who, and the other person DM’ed back. We waved at each other.”
Olson noted that Sajak agreed to get a drink with him before returning to their seats. Olson continued, “But as they say, the rest is history, and as you may know, I’m a lifelong Yankees fan, but the Dodgers will always have a special place in my heart.”
Since then, the two have often shared a few updates with fans about their relationship. Back in early May, Olson revealed that he had indeed met Maggie’s famous father, Pat.
While the Disney story isn’t quite true, the famous parks also clearly hold a special place in the couple’s hearts. In another recent post, the couple could be seen at Disneyland, complete with Maggie in Minnie Mouse ears. As a caption, she wrote, “Nothing can stop us from a @disneyland trip! Not even a rainy day.” Of course, as they noted in the previous post, the couple shared the story of how they really met while at the park.
