Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White have showcased various talents over the years, outside of hosting television shows. Recently, they put their dancing skills to the test, right on the set of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. They also had interesting teachers: players on the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Freddie Freeman, Kiké Hernández, & Miguel Rojas Helped Teach Ryan Seacrest & Vanna White Some Moves
In 2020, ABC announced that the popular game show would be getting a star-studded spin-off, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. Pat Sajak initially kept his hosting duties on the show, as did White. Seacrest, who had taken over for Sajak on the parent show, ultimately succeeded him on this version as well with its sixth season.
On the show’s official Instagram page, fans were treated to a clip from a few competing stars. It was none other than members of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

During the July 15 post, it was shared, “The MLB All-Star Game was cool, just missing was a few hip locks on the base paths #wheeloffortune #gameshow #ladodgers.” The MLB All-Star Game took place between the American League and the National League on July 14.
However, none of the players appearing on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune were on the All-Star Game, but they were all Dodgers. The players seen included Freddie Freeman, Kiké Hernández, and Miguel Rojas.
However, for many fans, it was Seacrest and White who stole the show. Things started out with Seacrest raising his arms in the air, swaying his hips, and giving the camera a smirk.
Celebrity Wheel Of Fortune Fans Shared Their Reactions To The Dance Lesson
Rojas then broke down how to dance the “hip lock” step-by-step. Seacrest pretended to fall over, but Hernández advised him to make sound effects to help, as the host complied with a “Ha!” Freeman then demonstrated a move called the “celly,” which involved moving your hips. White was able to pull this off.
Freeman then mused that his favorite move in high school was the “worm.” Seacrest was curious about what that looked like. Unfortunately, he only agreed if they could get the whole crew on the floor, but not all of them agreed to it.

With the post being shared on social media, fans were quick to share their reactions. Naturally, a few weighed in on the Wheel of Fortune hosts’ moves. Even the show’s official Instagram page shared, “Gotta move those hips!” Some comments included:
-
- “Gotta move those hips!”
- “Ryan & Vanna Dancing with the AllStars.”
- “You know Ryan is from the ATL.”
- “Seeing Ryan do the Celly was definitely not on my Wheel of Fortune bingo card.”
