Lost Series Returning To Netflix In 2024

An old favorite is returning to Netflix in 2024. Every season of Lost is amongst the Disney-owned shows confirmed to be returning. Will it be coming to Netflix globally or just in the US? Let’s clear all that up with what we know.

Arguably one of the defining TV shows of the early 2000s, Lost was the sci-fi supernatural show that came from the minds of Jeffrey Lieber, J. J. Abrams, and Damon Lindelof. Featuring a huge ensemble cast, the show follows the survivors of a plane crash who have to work together to stay alive on a remote island that holds plenty of secrets.

Winner of countless awards, the show was also a ratings powerhouse for ABC, and although some don’t think it stuck the landing with the final season, there’s no denying it’s a fantastic series.

When will Lost Seasons 1-6 be on Netflix US?

For many longer-term Netflix subscribers in the US, Lost was a staple of the streaming service’s licensed library throughout much of the 2010s.

That was until January 4th, 2018, when the show was pulled entirely, and we, at least, expected it never to return. That’s because the show went exclusive to Hulu, which makes sense given the title and the fact that Disney owns the streamer. According to JustWatch, the show also currently streams on Freevee.

Now, six years later, the streaming wars have taken a turn, and we’re seeing legacy companies like Disney far more open to licensing some of their older catalog titles. In December 2023, it was announced that over a dozen titles from their library would be heading to Netflix in the US in 2024 and 2025.

Netflix will receive all six seasons of Lost for 18 months starting July 1st, 2024. That means it’ll stream on Netflix US until January 1st, 2026.

When will Lost seasons 1-6 be on Netflix Internationally?

What about those who live outside the United States? Sadly, it looks like you’re cut out from this deal. Although many international regions of Netflix used to stream the show (Canada lost the show in 2016, for example), these Disney shows are licensed explicitly in the US. That said, we could see more Disney titles land on Netflix outside the US in the months and years to come, so never say never.

Generally speaking, for the time being, however, the show is currently exclusive to Disney+ in all international regions.
