My Oni Girl is an upcoming Japanese Netflix Original anime movie directed and co-written by Tomotaka Shibayama, who previously worked for legendary animators Studio Ghibli.
This is the second time Netflix has collaborated with Tokyo-based Studio Colorido, after previously producing Drifting Home. The studio also worked on One Piece Film Red, which will be released on Netflix in April 2024.

What is the plot of My Oni Girl?
Netflix has provided the synopsis for My Oni Girl:
“My Oni Girl tells the story of Hiiragi Yatsuse, a first-year high school student who struggles to make friends despite his efforts to please others. His life takes an unexpected turn when one summer day, he meets Tsumugi, an oni (demon) girl on a quest to find her mother in the human world. Snow mysteriously begins to fall… and their adventure begins.”
Who are the cast members of My Oni Girl?
At the time of writing, My Oni Girl only has two confirmed cast members.
Miyu Tomita plays Tsumugi. The actress is best known for her roles as Miko Iino in Love is War and Rizu Ogata in They Never Learn. She is also the voice of Riko in Made in Abyss.

Kensho Ono plays the role of Yatsuse Hiiragi. The actor has starred in tons of anime roles, most notably is known for his time as Tetsuya Kuroko in Kuroko’s Basketball, Mikaela Hyakuya in Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign, Girono Giovanna in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, and Floch Forster in Attack on Titan.
