Netflix has added My Hero Academia: Vigilantes to its library in many regions today, October 6th, with both seasons of the spin-off now available to stream. The US isn’t alone, either, as the series has also arrived in most other Netflix regions, including the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Netflix has been steadily building out its My Hero Academia catalog over the past year. We’ve recently covered the arrival of the missing seasons of the main series, the multi-country release of My Hero Academia: You’re Next, and the live-action adaptation in the works (maybe, hopefully still?). Vigilantes is the latest piece of the franchise to land.

Here’s what you need to know about the new addition, where it’s streaming, and how the franchise has performed on Netflix so far.

What is My Hero Academia: Vigilantes?

Set before the events of the main series, Vigilantes follows Koichi Haimawari (voiced by Shuichiro Umeda), a timid college student whose dreams of becoming a pro hero never panned out. After a life-changing incident, he accepts an offer from the hulking vigilante Knuckleduster (Yasuhiro Mamiya) to train as his protégé. Alongside the pop-idol vigilante PopStep (Ikumi Hasegawa), they take on the street-level crimes that licensed pro heroes overlook.

Both seasons are now streaming, totaling 26 episodes (13 per season [VERIFY]). The series is available in Japanese with [English subtitles / English dub — VERIFY] on Netflix.

Where is Vigilantes streaming on Netflix?

As of today, Vigilantes is streaming in the US and most other Netflix regions, including (but not limited to):

  • United States
  • United Kingdom
  • Canada
  • Australia
  • New Zealand

The series premiered on Crunchyroll in April 2025, which is why it hadn’t been on Netflix in these regions until now.

However, Netflix subscribers in parts of Asia have been able to watch Vigilantes for some time. Netflix previously licensed the series across several Asian territories in 2025:

  • India: April 8, 2025
  • South Korea: April 14, 2025
  • Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand: October 17, 2025

Netflix’s bi-annual engagement reports, covering January 2023 through June 2026, show My Hero Academia has been one of the streamer’s most consistent anime performers. Across 14 seasons and movies, the franchise has racked up 728.5 million hours viewed and just over 100 million views, and that’s despite regional differences in availability.

Season 1 has drawn the most views of any entry at 18.1 million, while Season 2 leads in watch time with 151.6 million hours. The Vigilantes figures so far come only from the Asian territories where it was previously available, so expect a significant jump once the US, UK and other major regions are factored into the next report.

Will there be a Season 3 of Vigilantes?

A third season of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes hasn’t been confirmed yet. Season 1 aired in spring 2025 and Season 2 followed in winter 2026, but no renewal was announced after the Season 2 finale. Studio Bones is currently busy with other franchise projects, including the 10th anniversary short My Hero Academia: I Am a Hero Too. There’s still plenty of manga left to adapt, however, so a return is far from ruled out.

If a third season is confirmed, we’ll keep you posted on whether it’s heading to Netflix.
