Big news from Nevermore. Despite our recent coverage, Netflix has confirmed today that Wednesday season 3 has officially “met its grave,” confirming on social media that filming has come to an end on the newest season.
A wrap date has been pretty elusive for Wednesday season 3, as production continued in Ireland, where it moved in season 2. Original reports said filming would end by the end of May, then later shifted to the end of August, but as we continued to spot, filming persisted throughout September.
Netflix confirmed via press release and social media that “Season 3 has officially wrapped,” with a new photo of Jenna Ortega at a typewriter.
This filming wrap is much sooner than expected. Just yesterday we posted that filming was in the final stretch but still expected a few more weeks left. We had been tracking numerous crew members behind the scenes, and their stories and posts suggested filming would continue into mid-October, ahead of Jenna Ortega’s other filming commitments for another film in November. Some of the cast even wrapped up a few weeks back, per Instagram posts. As of this morning, some of the crew is still on set, so maybe only the main cast has wrapped. Nevertheless, we got the official wrap date wrong, so apologies.
Netflix did update its TUDUM article today (which, in the URL, suggests they have the release date but don’t), but as far as we can tell by comparing the current article and an archived version, only a few words and the title changed, in addition to the picture of Jenna being added.
Nevertheless, we’re one step closer to release, and thankfully, this does pour some water on recent reports from The Sun of the show facing production delays and issues.
To celebrate the end of production, Netflix sent a fresh press release confirming the massive cast list for season 3, reminding us what’s to come and confirming the creative team behind the camera.

The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy.

Tim Burton is back in the director’s chair and continues his role as Executive Producer. MGM Television remains the studio behind the global hit.
When will Wednesday Season 3 be on Netflix?
Now for the million-dollar question: when can we actually watch it?
With filming wrapping up in late September 2026, the series now heads into a lengthy post-production phase. Wednesday is a VFX-heavy show (Thing doesn’t animate himself, after all, and Nevermore requires plenty of CGI magic). Typically, a show of this scale requires anywhere from six to eight months in post-production.
Netflix has already confirmed 2027 is the release year, and our best estimate right now is that Netflix is eyeing a late Spring or, more likely, summer 2027 release date. As always, we’ll keep our ears to the ground and let you know the second we hear a concrete date.
