Picture: The Whisper Man (2026) is now available to stream on Netflix UK
September is almost here, but it’s been another good week for new additions to Netflix UK, with 38 new titles added to the library. This week has seen the addition of The Whisper Man, a new thriller starring Robert De Niro and Adam Scott; the brand-new thriller K-drama Mousetrap; and The Rest is Football, which returns to cover the action of the new football season. As for licensed content, subscribers can enjoy the Ocean’s trilogy and an incredible first look at Rockstar’s upcoming video game Grand Theft Auto VI.

The Whisper Man
After the tragic death of his wife, crime novelist Tom Kennedy (Adam Scott) moves to a new town with his young son, Jake. When Jake is suddenly abducted, the crime bears a chilling resemblance to the decades-old methods of an imprisoned serial killer known as “The Whisper Man”. Desperate to find his missing boy, Tom must reunite with his estranged father, Pete Willis (Robert De Niro), the retired detective who originally caught the killer.
Mousetrap
Moon Jae, a reclusive writer, finds that the fingerprint recognition on his phone fails, and even the friend who had helped him manage everything disappears. With no way left to prove that he is truly Moon Jae, he learns that a mysterious person called “Rat” has taken his name, identity, and fortune. Determined to reclaim his life, he begins to pursue him.
The Rest is Football
Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer and Micah Richards return to Netflix to cover all the drama that unfolds across the 2026-2027 football season. From the Premier League, Champions League, international ties, and domestic cup competitions, there will be brand-new episodes dropping throughout the week, with a Sunday round-up.
