90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days featured Ximena Morales and Mike Berk leaving the door open for a possible reconciliation, Usman “SojaBoy” Umar considering getting back together with Zara, Mahogany Roca ditching Ben Rathbun after a confrontation, and Gino Palazzolo and Memphis Smith leaving their loves during the fifth-season finale Sunday night on TLC.

90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days’ new season stars Usman, a 32-year-old from Sokoto, Nigeria, and Kim Menzies, a 50-year-old from San Diego, CA; Gino, a 51-year-old from Canton, MI, and Jasmine Pineda, a 34-year-old from Panama City, Panama; and Memphis, a 34-year-old from Muskegon, MI, and Hamza Moknii, a 28-year-old from Kairouan, Tunisia.
The series also stars Mike, a 34-year-old from Thiells, NY, and Ximena, a 24-year-old from Pereira, Colombia; Ella, a 29-year-old from Idaho Falls, ID, and Johnny, a 34-year-old from Jinan, China; and Ben, a 52-year-old from Fraser, MI, and Mahogany, a 24-year-old from San Bartolo, Peru.

Caleb, a 28-year-old from Chandler, AZ, and Alina, a 27-year-old from Saint Petersburg, Russia, are no longer featured on the series after Alina’s racist social-media posts resurfaced.
Usman was previously married to Lisa Hamme, 54, whom he had met on Facebook two years before filming 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days’ fourth season.
Lisa struggled to trust Usman during their relationship and they split in May 2020. Usman later served Lisa with divorce papers in December 2020 and Lisa has since remarried with a childhood friend.
90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days follows long-distance relationships and documents how each couple found each other as well as their first in-person meeting in a foreign country “and the countless surprises, drama and culture clashes along the way.”
In most 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days cases, lovebirds are hoping to get engaged and begin the K-1 Visa process.
After traveling across the world, the couples will determine if love can conquer all as they experience challenges such as language barriers, interfering families, cultural differences, age gaps, ex partners, and “shady pasts,” according to TLC.
Below is what happened on the season finale of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days’ fifth season:
MIKE and XIMENA
Mike was shown packing up his belongings in Ximena’s apartment after a fight with her while Ximena was crying in her mother’s arms because Mike had been “rude” to her and called her “stupid.”
“I always find the crazies,” Ximena lamented to her mother and sister.
Mike asked Ximena if he could call her the next day to say goodbye to everyone, including her two sons, but Ximena refused to let him. Mike therefore started to cry and said, “I’m very sorry.”
Even Ximena’s mother, who had already viewed Mike as a part of her family, cried seeing both Mike and Ximena hurting. She said Mike arrived in Ximena’s life at the best time, during quarantine amid the coronavirus pandemic, and really supported the family.
“Thanks to her, we also ate,” Ximena’s mother said. “But if the relationship is bad, the best thing is ending it because what starts bad, ends bad.”

Ximena decided to give Mike a hug goodbye, and she claimed to be “very affected” by the breakup after spending one year with Mike and planning a wedding as well as a future together.
Ximena explained that it was “because of the little things” her relationship “went to garbage.”
“I know his feelings for me are real, but it doesn’t change the decision I made,” Ximena said after dumping Mike in Colombia.
Mike said the past year was the happiest he had ever been and he never loved anyone as much as he loved Ximena. Because their connection was so great when Mike first visited Colombia, he said it made their split — and giving up — even more difficult.

Mike slept in a hotel that night and FaceTimed with Ximena in the morning. He asked if he could say goodbye, but Ximena said he had been very rude and it was time to say goodbye and end their relationship for good.
Mike therefore got to wave goodbye to Harold and Juan through video message, and he dubbed this whole thing “a big loss.” Mike thought he deserved better than for his relationship to end this way, and he said it felt like crap but he was ready to return home and move on with his life.
Mike insisted he wouldn’t be the first person to reach out to Ximena but if she wanted to talk, she could call him. Mike said he was done allowing Ximena to “take advantage” of him and he was ready to focus on himself.
One day after Mike left, Ximena received text messages from Mike, who allegedly wrote, “I want to help with the rent because I want you to feel secure.”
“Why do you want to help if we are nothing? We’re just friends,” Ximena responded.
“Please let me help you. I want to work on things and come to Colombia on September 1st to get married,” Mike replied.
Ximena asked if she should call Mike and then he said, “Okay.”
Ximena called Mike and said she was confused, and Mike reiterated how he wanted her to feel secure. But Ximena said she didn’t want Mike’s money and just wanted to remain friends.
“Friends for one bad argument?” Mike asked. “Your life before me [was] very hard. No more. Our future, a house in Colombia, for vacations — and a house in New York.”

Ximena explained how Mike seemed to want to buy her love and she didn’t need his money, but Mike said the whole situation was bothering him and left him feeling upset. He said he really, truly loved her and loved her children.
“She’s worth it, to fight for,” Mike told the cameras.
Ximena, however, didn’t know what to do, and so she said she’d call Mike later. Ximena shrugged her shoulders.

MEMPHIS and HAMZA
Memphis was shown packing up her bags and leaving Tunisia. She said she was excited to go back to America and finally see her kids after all this time; however, she wished she could take Hamza with her.
“Now that I’m pregnant, it’s even harder to have to say goodbye to Hamza. I feel like my heart is being ripped out of my chest,” Memphis said in a confessional.
Hamza told his mother that Memphis would miss her after leaving, and Hayet cried at the thought. Hayet asked Memphis to watch out for herself and take care of herself, and Hamza felt “awful” about not being able to join his wife in the United States.
“I’ll probably miss the birth of my child. It’s a terrible thing that my child will be born while far away from me,” Hamza lamented to the cameras.
Memphis told Hamza that she would get the ball rolling on his visa process immediately because being with him was “happiness.”
She knew many unknowns were ahead of her, including when Hamza would be able to join her in America, and she also wondered how Hamza would do learning how to be a dad.
“I know it’s going to be difficult for the both of us, but I hope we can get through it,” Memphis noted.
The pair then hugged at the airport and Hamza was crying as he said goodbye to his pregnant wife.
“I love you,” Memphis said.
“I love you, too,” Hamza replied in tears. “Do not forget [my] heart.”
Memphis sobbed when she walked away from Hamza, and she knew she was going to be a single mother again for some time, although not forever, which is what she held onto.
But Memphis felt great about having found a wonderful guy with a great family, and she gushed about how God had blessed her. She prayed Hamza would be able to come home sooner rather than later.

Meanwhile, Hamza told the cameras, “Memphis is the love of my life. Without her, it’s like I’m a body with no heart.”
BEN and MAHOGANY
Mahogany started walking away from Ben after he confronted her about the things she had seemingly lied to him about, such as her age.
Ben decided to give Mahogany some time and called it “a maturity thing.” He said Mahogany was not willing to have hard conversations and he didn’t travel to Peru to play games.
Mahogany told producers that she wanted to get into a car and go, and when Ben approached her, she said, “God bless you.”
Ben wished he had been able to just speak his piece, and Mahogany said she couldn’t imagine being with Ben and marrying him.
“Sometimes it is not good to trust someone completely, and that is what I did. That is why I did not get excited from the beginning and I was careful to know if he really has good intentions,” Mahogany said. “I don’t want to stay with him.”
Before Mahogany left, Ben begged her to finish their conversation. He said he was willing to overlook her lies and have a life with her, but he was frustrated that she wasn’t listening to him.
“I think she’s paranoid that I’m here for the wrong reasons, and anything that leads her to that conclusion gets magnified and she just wants to escape. And that happened the other day when she left our vacation spot; she just took off,” Ben explained to the cameras.
Mahogany then took off in a car, and Ben said he had no idea their relationship was “this fragile.” He recognized, however, that if he couldn’t ask Mahogany questions, then they didn’t really have a relationship or any established trust.

“She obviously does not love me,” Ben concluded.

Ben reached out to Mahogany after she left, and she apparently wrote him back later that evening. Mahogany wished Ben the best, and Ben questioned if he ever should have confronted her to begin with.
But Ben wanted to know if Mahogany had been deceiving him, and so it sent their romance into a tailspin. He feared their relationship was just superficial and never real.
“It was real for a while. It was real until it wasn’t,” Ben told the cameras, adding how being with Mahogany in person was not the same as communicating with over the phone and videochat.
Ben looked at photos he had taken with Mahogany during his trip and called them arrows to the heart. He confessed that he felt “shattered.”
“But I deserve unconditional love, and maybe one day, I’ll find that,” Ben said. “Goodbye Peru.”
GINO and JASMINE
Gino was preparing to leave Jasmine and go back to America, and so Jasmine cried about the idea and how she had wasted their last dinner together in her home country arguing again.
Jasmine said she should’ve just enjoyed her time with Gino, and so she asked him to forgive her. Gino didn’t hesitate to hug his fiancee and comfort her, but he had never brought up the idea of a prenuptial agreement.
“Baby, I feel like I have a hole in my heart. Why I can not be with you if I love you? Why… does life have to be like this, baby? Why?” Jasmine cried.
Gino explained that he needed to return home and begin working again, but he said he would miss cuddling with her and going to bed with her as well as holding hands when walking together.
With that being said, Gino started to cry as well, and Jasmine called him a “beautiful gringo.” She also promised to send him more sexy videos, as long as he would send her some in return.

Jasmine acknowledged that what was coming would not be easy, and she just hoped Gino wouldn’t give up on her or just forget about her and move on with another woman.

“I have to just trust that he will prefer me over any other person in the world,” Jasmine said.
Gino told Jasmine that he had a lot of good times in Panama, and he had faith his fiancee would be okay without him.
Gino said he and Jasmine had developed a very strong bond in-person and he hated the idea of going back to chats and text messages.
At the airport, Jasmine insisted that they weren’t saying “goodbye” to each other because she’d be waiting for him and they would soon reunite. She felt so detached from reality, and Gino hugged her farewell.
“I cannot get into Gino’s suitcase, but I know that I’m in his heart and he’s going to stay in mine,” Jasmine told the cameras.
Gino said he’d be willing to do anything to keep his relationship with Jasmine strong because he believed he’d never find a woman like her again. Gino felt both lucky and happy to have her.
USMAN and KIM
After spending two weeks with Kim in Tanzania, Kim flew back to the United States and Usman was going to leave Tanzania the next day.
“I think sometimes I love her, but I think sometimes Kimberly wants things in her own way. And if I want us to have peace, I have to give into her. So I still have concern about this relationship and I want more clarity about something,” Usman explained.
Usman therefore videochatted with his ex-girlfriend Zara, whom he had written a song about.
Usman never met Zara in person, but he said he loved her a lot.
However, the pair apparently broke up four months prior because Zara allegedly could not handle his career and all of his female fans. (Usman claimed Zara had dumped him).

Usman knew Kim wouldn’t be happy about him calling Zara, but he said he needed to be sure about his future with Kim.

Usman asked Zara if she missed anything about him, and she replied, “I miss you… I’m positive. It’s difficult because I care about you so much as a person. You were, like, my best friend… We laughed, we did everything.”
Zara said it was hard not being able to talk to Usman every day and it hurt her.
Usman shared how Zara was the first woman to stick in his head all the time, and then he started singing the song he had dedicated to her.
When Usman was with Zara, he said he loved everything about her because she’s so attractive and young at age 26. He once thought they’d have children together and a beautiful family.
“And that is one thing that Kimberly cannot give me,” Usman acknowledged.
Usman then suggested to Zara that maybe they could get back together. When Zara asked him for confirmation on his feelings, he said he didn’t know what to do.
“I can’t offer anyone fake love,” Zara said.
Usman was suddenly reminded of all the good times they had together, but he said he felt conflicted because he still loved Kim.
“Now I’m starting to wonder if I made the wrong decision,” Usman admitted, adding how he had been missing Zara and planned to Zoom with her again.
