Love Is Blind couple Ashley Adionser and Tyler Francis have called it quits on their marriage and decided to part ways.
Ashley, who was shown marrying Tyler on Season 7 of the Netflix reality series in October 2024, officially announced her split from Tyler in a statement to People.
“After much reflection, I want to share that Tyler and I have been separated for several weeks and have now made the difficult decision to end our marriage,” Ashley told the magazine.
“While I had hoped for mutual understanding and transparency in our relationship, it has become clear that our paths are no longer aligned, making it impossible for me to continue in this marriage.”
Ashley insisted this was not a decision she had “made lightly” but one she believes “is necessary” for her “own growth and peace.”
She continued in her statement, “While this chapter is ending, I will always hold respect for the time and love we shared. I kindly ask for privacy during this deeply personal time as I focus on healing and building a new future.”
“Thank you for your understanding and support,” Ashley concluded.
Ashley and Tyler first met when chatting with strangers in the Love Is Blind pods on Season 7.
Ashley and Tyler hit it off right away, but a red flag was raised when Tyler shared how he was a sperm donor and had three biological children. At the time, he claimed he had no relationship with the kids and didn’t even know what they looked like, according to People.
Ashley was initially taken aback by the news, but she decided to continue dating Tyler and eventually get engaged on the show.
Ashley and Tyler’s wedding aired during Love Is Blind’s Season 7 finale in late 2024.
However, as the show was airing, photos circulated online of Tyler spending time with his children — who were all wearing matching pajamas — on Christmas morning.
The photos sparked backlash that Tyler may have been dishonest about his family when getting to know Ashley on Love Is Blind.
Allegations also surfaced that Tyler owed money in child support and had abandoned his children to go on the show.
Tyler addressed all the speculation during Love Is Blind’s Season 7 reunion special.
Tyler reportedly announced that he did “help a friend and her wife start a family,” but he “voluntarily” stepped in to help care for the kids after his friend’s wife left her.
Tyler also admitted that he had intentionally lied about not knowing what his kids looked like with the goal of protecting their privacy.
“There’s pictures of me around,” Tyler acknowledged at the time.
“I played a part that became very shaky with a friend. There’s no rule books to this… but I do want to let people know Ashley knows all this. This is news to the world, this has never been news to us.”
Ashley defended Tyler by saying she was not blissfully unaware of the situation and that she understood he didn’t want to talk about his kids on-camera.
“For people to imply that ‘she was blindsided,’ ‘she didn’t know,’ is insulting to my intelligence,” Ashley noted, adding how she and Tyler spoke about it during filming in “some capacity.”
Ashley explained how “there were things he was comfortable sharing and things he wasn’t,” which may have naturally resulted in a “disconnect” for some people.
“With him growing up in a single-parent household… it was very hard for him to remove himself [from this situation] and not be involved when this is now a single mom,” Ashley reasoned.
“I know he is a good person who went in a little too deep and didn’t know what to do next.”
Tyler did not touch upon the allegations he owed child-support and abandoned his kids for Love Is Blind until a November 2024 appearance on the “Dear Future Wifey podcast.”
Tyler claimed during his interview that he “wasn’t active” in his children’s lives due to his rocky relationship with the children’s mother, according to People.
He also denied the report he had neglected his kids because he said he never intended to have a hands-on father role in his kids’ lives.
“I want them to have their family and leave me alone,” Tyler confessed. “[I feel like a] glorified babysitter that [the mother of their children] need money from.”
All seven seasons of Love Is Blind are now streaming on Netflix, and Season 8 is slated to premiere on February 14, 2025.
