‘The Bachelor’ alum Daisy Kent reveals if she wants to go ‘Dancing with the Stars’

The Bachelor alum Daisy Kent has revealed if she’d be interested in competing on Dancing with the Stars’ upcoming 33rd season.

When asked what Daisy wants to do next in her life after finishing in second place on Joey Graziadei’s The Bachelor season, Daisy said, “I just want to do things that will make a difference and help other people and have fun along the way,” during a recent appearance on ”The Squeeze” podcast.

“Maybe Dancing with the Stars?” actor Taylor Lautner’s wife, who is also named Taylor Lautner, asked Daisy.

“That would be cool!” Daisy exclaimed. “I would be down to do that!”

Daisy therefore revealed she’s finally open to appearing on another reality TV show after turning down The Bachelorette’s 21st season and also rejecting the idea — as of right now — of looking for love in Mexico on Bachelor in Paradise’s tenth season.

Joey also recently admitted he’s got some moves and would maybe like to compete on Dancing with the Stars.

Joey’s The Bachelor season wrapped filming right before Thanksgiving in November 2023.

But Daisy previously said on “The Viall Files” podcast that she turned down The Bachelorette role just two weeks before taping The Bachelor: After the Final Rose in late March. During that live special, Jenn Tran was announced as the next The Bachelorette star.

Daisy shared at the time how she wants to focus on herself and spend quality time with family and friends now that she’s off television.

Daisy, after all, just had a cochlear implant in 2023, and before that, she battled undiagnosed Lyme disease for years and finally sought an aggressive treatment program in Germany.

“My health is an aspect of it. I knew, as the lead, it’s a lot on you, not only emotionally but physically too,” Daisy explained of her choice to turn down The Bachelorette on a recent episode of “The Viall Files” podcast.

“You’re up super late, and it’s nonstop. I talked to a lot of past leads when [ABC] was in talks with me, and I just knew from a health point, it would be a lot.”

Daisy went on to clarify, “It’s also not that I’m not ready to date; it’s that I wasn’t ready for that specific thing.”

She continued, “I think right now, I just want to live and be happy. I always want to jump at opportunities, but I think this specific opportunity wasn’t right for me right now.”

Daisy said she was also scared of “not getting enough sleep” during The Bachelorette process and essentially struggling through the whole thing.

“I knew they would take care of me, and they made that very evident that they would,” Daisy revealed.

“But also, the fact you’re hurting other people… I mean, there’s usually what — around 30 people? I can’t send everyone home at once, you know what I mean? What if I didn’t like them? I don’t think I could actually sit there and kiss somebody [I didn’t like].”

Daisy shared how she definitely “thought really long and hard” about The Bachelorette, but she ultimately decided it would be “too much” for her.

“I’m not someone who easily turns down opportunities, especially something like that, but there’s also so much I want to do, and right now, I just felt like it was important that I kind of take control over my life and the path I want to do,” Daisy explained to Nick.

Daisy apparently arrived at her decision thanks to input from her family and former show leads.

“Some people said, ‘It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done,’ but a lot of people were like, ‘It’s the best thing, too.’ No one regretted doing it, but people were like, ‘If you’re doing it, make sure you’re ready.’ It just didn’t feel right,” Daisy shared.

But Daisy suggested it also wouldn’t feel right to star on The Bachelorette in 2025 or later.

“Right now, I’m content with letting that go away, and I know most people might not understand that,” Daisy said.

“I think if you were to ask me, even a year ago, ‘Do you think this would be a possibility?’ I would be like, ‘Oh my gosh, 100 percent I’ll do it.'”

Daisy shared how people on social media were accusing her of campaigning to be The Bachelorette star while Joey’s season was airing but it was actually “quite the opposite” for her.

On The Bachelor’s Season 28 finale, Daisy and Kelsey Anderson were Joey’s Final 2 bachelorettes in Tulum, Mexico.

After both women met Joey’s family and had a final date with him, Daisy predicted that she wasn’t going to end up with Joey.

Daisy therefore sought out Kelsey in her hotel room to essentially compare notes about their week.

Daisy admitted to Kelsey that something felt “off” and seemed to be “missing” with Joey during their last date, and so she arguably spoiled the fact that Kelsey was going to be Joey’s winner.

The two women then traveled to the Final Rose Ceremony in the same van, and Daisy gracefully bowed out of the competition before Joey could officially dump her.

“Falling in love with you has been so fun and I do love you,” Daisy told The Bachelor star at the Final Rose Ceremony. “But the thing is, you’re not going to choose me.”

Joey immediately broke down into tears, confirming that Daisy’s gut instinct was correct.

Daisy told Joey that she realized he wasn’t her “person,” and she added, “I know that you know I’m not your person. And as much as that hurts, umm, I know you said you want what’s best for me, and so I’m going to do what’s best for me — and I’m going to go.”

Joey called Daisy “special” and offered to walk her out, but Daisy decided to do that on her own.

“I’m going to miss you,” Joey cried.

“I’m going to miss you too,” Daisy responded in tears. “I’m pulling for you!”

Daisy then returned to the van, hugged Kelsey, and wished Joey’s winner the best.

Joey proceeded to reunite with Kelsey and propose marriage to her, and the couple is still together and planning to move to New York City in July or August.
