The Bachelor villain Cassidy Timbrooks has explained her controversial social-media videos, including the one in which she told Season 26 star Clayton Echard to “go f-ck yourself.”

Cassidy had slammed Clayton for wanting to rescind her rose over her communication with a “friend with benefits” back home in a resurfaced video tweeted by Reality Steve spoiler blogger Steve Carbone before her The Bachelor exit even aired on the show.

Four days after the January 24 episode of Cassidy’s elimination finally aired, Cassidy took to her Instagram Story to apologize for her harsh words and also to put some context behind her fiery videos.

“Now that my time on The Bachelor is done, I want to briefly address the two videos that made the rounds on social media,” Cassidy wrote on her Instagram Story Friday, January 28, according to Us Weekly.

“First, they were never made public by me or intended to be seen publicly. I posted those only to my close friends’ story on Instagram, where someone who I thought was my friend screen recorded them and sent them to a spoiler site.”

Cassidy claimed that her videos were meant to be interpreted as funny and sarcastic, not angry and nasty.

“In those videos, I’m being intentionally over dramatic and satirical,” she wrote to her followers. “The people who know me in real life get that, but I totally understand why people who’ve never met me would be like, wtf.”

The 26-year-old executive assistant from Los Angeles, CA, also clarified how she doesn’t dislike Clayton or hold anything against him.

“I’m really embarrassed that those videos ended up everywhere,” Cassidy said. “They don’t reflect my actual thoughts, or how I feel about Clayton. I had a lot of respect for how kind to me Clayton was, actually.”

Regardless of her alleged intentions behind the videos, Cassidy confessed that they were in poor taste and she never should have recorded them to begin with.

“This seems like a late acknowledgment, and I would have addressed them sooner but as you can probably imagine I was worried about accidentally spoiling anything else,” Cassidy continued in her Friday post.

“I thought it best to wait until after [the January 24] episode aired. I’ve never written a public apology and don’t exactly know what I’m doing lol but hopefully this helps clear up what in the world happened there.”

Cassidy concluded, “Totally my bad, never should’ve even made them, but I never meant for them to be public. Poor judgment call on my part.”

After Clayton gave Cassidy a group-date rose, he decided to send her packing once he learned from Sierra Jackson that Cassidy had been hooking up with a younger man back home and FaceTimed with him while she was quarantining in a hotel prior to the start of Season 26 production.

Sierra told Clayton about Cassidy’s “f-ck buddy” who had allegedly told Cassidy that he’d like to cuddle and do “nasty things” to her once she returned home from the show, which he also allegedly suggested they could watch together.

Cassidy said in the resurfaced video, “I realize that I am normally being dramatic, but you were gonna give [Salley Carson] a rose even though she was engaged last week. Meanwhile, I f-cked someone a few months ago and I got sent home.”

While Clayton was getting ready to meet his cast of bachelorettes, about five hours before Night 1 limo entrances, Salley knocked on his hotel door and expressed how she wasn’t in the right mindset to begin dating someone new after recently going through a broken engagement.

Although Clayton offered Salley a rose in the hope she would stay, Salley decided to leave the show because she still felt devastated over the fact her wedding had been scheduled to take place that very weekend.

“Okay, no, it’s cool. No, I get it. I get it. I get what we’re made of here,” Cassidy added in the video. “I get the stuff that’s happening and go f-ck yourself Clayton Echard.”

When Clayton rejected Cassidy and took back her rose, he explained how he didn’t want to fall for a woman who seemed to be on the show for the wrong reasons. He said there were “too many concerns” for him to overlook so early in The Bachelor process.

“Being dishonest is a dealbreaker for me because love is ultimately being able to fully trust someone and share your heart,” Clayton told the cameras, referencing how Cassidy had initially lied about having been involved with any man back home.

The other social-media video Cassidy mentioned in her apology dates back to December 31, when the blonde bachelorette had called men “trash,” which may have also been a shot at Clayton since his The Bachelor season had already wrapped filming by that point.

“I love getting ready for dates nowadays because it’s literally just me in the mirror, like, ‘Oh, wait a second, if this man should be so f-cking lucky!’ And then I remember, ‘Wait a second, even though I’m about to be on national television, men still treat me like sh-t,’ but that’s okay, that’s all right, because it is not… for f-cking long,” Cassidy said in the other resurfaced video tweeted by Carbone earlier this month.

“Anyways, I think I’m gonna be a great influencer. I feel like I’m really entertaining. You’re entertained, right? You’d buy anything I’m selling you, right? Even if it’s complete bullsh-t? I think so.”

Cassidy went on at the time, “Don’t answer that. It’s yes. I mean, it’s pretty obvious. Anyway, go ahead and go on national television. Men still won’t give a f-ck.”

Cassidy also snapped at the “clout chasers” out there who had been filling up her DMs.

Cassidy went on to gripe, “Men are trash… You know, the more I think about it, perhaps I was being a little bit hasty when I said, ‘All men are trash.’ I mean, all men aren’t trash — just — no, all men are trash. I said what the f-ck I said. Goodnight.”
