The Bachelorette star Gabby Windey has thrown some major shade at Hayden Markowitz for his public apology on social media.

Once Rachel Recchia was shown eliminating Hayden on Monday night’s episode of The Bachelorette, Hayden took to Instagram and apologized for his behavior on the show — including how he had called Gabby “rough around the edges,” compared Rachel to one of his ex-girlfriends, and allegedly called the two Bachelorettes “b-tches.”

“I think there’s lots of things to consider when people apologize on social media, especially, you know, in a public way after you’ve been outed on TV,” Gabby told Us Weekly.

“So I think anyone can take that however they want.”

After Hayden dumped Gabby on a group date earlier in the season and called her “rough around the edges,” the 29-year-old leisure executive from Tampa, FL, vented to fellow bachelor James “Meatball” Clarke about how he thought Gabby would have been “more mature” and not taken his comment so personally.

Hayden attempted to explain how Gabby had used “the same verbiage” to describe herself, and so he believed using the term “rough around the edges” wasn’t offensive or even his fault.

Meatball also accused Hayden of calling Rachel and Gabby “reactive.”

“We had conversations, and it was always around how he had never met a woman like me,” Gabby recalled to The Hollywood Reporter in a separate interview of her interactions with Hayden while filming the show.

“And so I’m trying to relate, and I probably did, in a joking manner, say I’m rough around the edges. I’m okay to laugh at myself and say those things, but you can’t throw them back at me.”

Gabby snapped, “That’s just common decency and social skills.”

“But it was clear that he was acting from a place of insecurity and just wanted me to feel as low as him,” she continued in her interview.

“Looking back, you can see it for what it is, but… it’s hard. We’re navigating this new scenario, and nobody’s been through it.”

In addition, Hayden appeared to compare Rachel to his ex-girlfriends, mentioning how one “couldn’t hold a candle” to the other.

Hayden said he never wants to settle in a relationship and told the other guys, “I don’t see how any guy in here could be like, ‘F-ck, I’m going to marry these girls.'”

When Hayden made his public apology on Monday, he wrote on Instagram, “You saw me at my absolute worst and lowest moment. I have always tried to carry myself with humility and respect for others.”

“However, my complete lapse of judgement was not only disappointing but it was absolutely unacceptable,” he confessed. “I genuinely want to express my deepest apologies to both Gabby and Rachel for my actions.”

Hayden proceeded to “take full responsibility” for his mistakes and “for not being the man I was raised to be in those moments, especially towards these two wonderful deserving ladies who I truly do respect.”

“I really hate how this season ended, but this experience was not one that I was mentally or emotionally prepared for with the current things going on in my life,” he continued.

“Despite how everything transpired, it was an amazing experience that I will never forget and will learn from. I wish Gabby and Rachel all the best and hope they can accept my apology!”

Meatball got the ball rolling on Hayden’s The Bachelorette elimination because he warned Rachel that Hayden had allegedly said, “I don’t trust these b-tches,” among the other jaw-dropping remarks, including comments about Rachel’s breasts.

Rachel trusted Meatball’s character, and so she thought Hayden had been extremely disrespectful.

Rachel therefore confronted Hayden before the fourth Rose Ceremony of the season, and Hayden seemed to think Rachel was about to apologize for having ended their previous conversation about his beloved dog Rambo abruptly.

When Rachel rattled off the list of Hayden’s alleged insults, he denied them all.

“I did not compare anyone to you,” Hayden said, adding how he doesn’t speak like that and that’s simply not his character.

When given another chance to own up to everything, Hayden insisted, “Rachel, I’m telling you explicitly right now, that’s not what was said.”

However, Rachel said she had reached the end of her rope and couldn’t keep dealing with incidents such as these. She decided to walk Hayden out as a result and reluctantly give him a half-hearted hug.

“I feel really stupid for giving Hayden the benefit of the doubt. He just lies and I feel very taken advantage of… I was trusting him to bring him into a second week. At this point, I’m just extremely ready for Hayden to get the f-ck out,” Rachel lamented to the cameras.

Hayden said in his final words on the show how he really wanted things to work with Rachel but looked forward to returning home and feeling unconditional love with Rambo.

Rachel also eliminated Jordan Helman during Monday night’s The Bachelorette episode, and Gabby chose to send Kirk Bryant and Quincey Williams packing.
