The Bachelor’sMaria Georgas has gushed about how she’s thrilled for Jenn Tran to be starring on The Bachelorette’s 21st season later this year.

After Jenn was announced as the new The Bachelorette star live during The Bachelor: After the Final Rose special for Joey Graziadei’s season that aired on March 25, fan-favorite The Bachelor contestant, Maria, took to Instagram Stories to share how she was feeling.

“Couldn’t be happier,” Maria captioned a photo of the two ladies in which Maria was pouting her lips and Jenn was flashing a smirk.

Maria followed that up with a second post hours later.

Maria uploaded a video of Jenn and herself standing next to each other at the Final 6 Rose Ceremony of Joey’s The Bachelor season.

In the video clip, Maria reaches out for Jenn’s hand. Jenn whispers, “I love you,” to her friend, and then Maria whispers it back.

“When I tell you how happy I am for her you best believe it,” Maria captioned the sweet moment between the two friends.

“We were there for each other. Always. I’ll be cheering her on every step of the way. She deserves this moment. And it’s HERS. The representation alone is doing so many little girls proud who can look up and see a beautiful Asian woman bless our screens.”

Jenn, a 25-year-old Physician Assistant student who currently resides in Miami, FL, will be the first Asian American woman to star on The Bachelorette.

Maria therefore concluded in her post, “You go Jenn!!! Go get your man!!!”

On After the Final Rose, The Bachelor host Jesse Palmer asked Maria — who was sitting in the audience — for her thoughts on Jenn starring on The Bachelorette, which is set to premiere this July on ABC.

“Jenn, listen, I love you so much! I got to know you inside and out, and I want you to know how amazing you are!” Maria announced. “You are a queen!”

Jenn, in turn, gushed about how much she loved Maria on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast earlier this year.

“I love her. We weren’t super close in the beginning; I didn’t know a lot about her. She’s got one of those personalities that kind of intimidates you at first. So I was a little like, ‘Do I want to know her?'” Jenn admitted.

“Well, I wanted to get to know her, but I was a little scared. I’m a little shy sometimes. But [Maria] is a girls’ girl through and through. I absolutely love her. She’s the best!”

Many The Bachelor fans had been hoping that Maria would lead The Bachelorette’s next season due to her outspoken and quirky personality.

Many viewers had also been hoping to see Joey’s The Bachelor runner-up, Daisy Kent, hand out roses since she had her heart broken on the show and so gracefully handled her exit from the Final Rose Ceremony.

Daisy, however, admitted she’s “not ready” to date and find love again after her The Bachelor stint.

“My life the last year has been crazy. I mean, yesterday, it’s weird, but it was the one year of me getting my cochlear implant, which completely changed my life,” Daisy told Jesse on After the Final Rose.

“And I also went through this, and as great of an experience as it was, it was also really, really hard. I’m healthy and I’m happy, and I haven’t had those two things in a really long time. And so, right now, I know it’s a time for me to focus on the things I love and the people I love.”

The blonde beauty therefore concluded, “So, right now, no. I’m not ready, and that’s okay. I’m really proud of myself for realizing that.”

Jesse gave Daisy his respect and wished her the best on her healing journey going forward.

Once Jenn was officially declared The Bachelorette’s Season 21 star, she said it felt “surreal” to have The Bachelorette’s Season 20 star Charity Lawson pass the baton to her.

Jenn said she’ll be looking for a man who has a big personality and will have some cheeky banter with her. Jenn hopes to find a man with whom she’s compatible and can be herself.

Joey eliminated Jenn on The Bachelor’s 28th season right before hometown dates, when Joey selected his Final 4 bachelorettes. At that point in the process, Jenn was “falling in love” with Joey, and so her ouster crushed her.

“It’s definitely tough to know that I wasn’t enough. That’s not fun,” Jenn cried in her final words.

“I know we would’ve been amazing together. I know that we would’ve been so happy, and I’m totally going to miss him. I know what I have to offer. I know the amazing woman that I am, and I know that someone else will be more than happy to be my person. I just hope that I find someone as special as him one day.”
