‘American Idol’—and Ryan Seacrest—Isn’t Going Anywhere for Season 7

Reviews

With a writer’s strike and actors’ strike in full swing, primetime TV networks are making tweaks to their upcoming fall TV schedule.

And the competition is heavy as every network is vying for eyeballs in the midst of a scripted drama drought.

CBS already added Yellowstone and UK’s Ghosts, The CW is in a good position with its streaming and Canadian fare, while ABC opted to pull Disney+’s Ms. Marvel for its schedule… and now, NBC is coming out swinging with its revamped 2023 fall TV lineup.

Quantum Leap will have new episodes as it continued filming, will take a Wednesday spot, while Magnum PI, previously held for midseason, will premiere with the second half of its fifth and final season.

Canadian medical drama Transplant will also join the lineup with its third season, while new shows, Found and The Irrational, which managed to film complete seasons ahead of time, are also in the mix.

Sadly, One Chicago fans will see that while their trio of shows remain on the schedule, they will be opting for rotating reruns, along with Dick Wolf’s other successful Law & Order franchise.
