Does Zeke Die on Manifest?

Reviews

With season 4 of Manifest ready for takeoff on Netflix, fans—both original and those who found the series after its NBC cancelation and move to the streaming giant—are gearing up to get lost in the world of Callings once again.

But it’s been quite a bit since the last episode aired back in June of 2021, so it’s understandable that many might need a refresher before diving into part 1 of the fourth and final season.

We still have tons of questions and plotlines we need the series to address, but one of the most common questions is whether Zeke is still alive.

Does Zeke Die in Manifest?

Nope, Zeke Landon, played by Matt Long, is very much alive despite the whole death date storyline.

While he was supposed to die at the end of season 2, he beat his death date thanks to a handful of good deeds and by following the Callings.

Zeke was attempting to save Cal from the methheads at the lake when a lightning bolt hit the ice causing everyone to fall. He jumped in to save Cal and brought him to the surface before getting pulled under. When he eventually resurfaced, he did, in fact, die, but then a glow of light appeared from his body and he was revived with zero frostbite or any signs of illness.

And he’s been alive ever since. Since he got married to Mick prior to his death date, it was a welcome surprise when he survived  and was able to experience many newlywed moments with her that he never thought he would.

His survival also threw a little wrench in the potential love story for Mick and Jared.

In season three, Zeke becomes an empath, which allows him to feel the emotions of others, and he realizes that Mick is conflicted about her feelings for her ex Jared. In the finale, he tells her that they have to “talk” and it seems as though Zeke is going to allow her to figure out what the heart wants.

He’s present in the season 4 trailers, which are set after a two-year time jump, so he’ll likely play an integral role in helping the Stone family figure out the Callings in an attempt to beat their own death date, while also navigating the tricky dynamic between his wife and Jared. In the promo, we see him in bed with Mick, cuddling up to her in the kitchen, and enjoying a family dinner with the Stones, but the trailer also has plenty of scenes with Mick and Jared working together and even sitting on their bench together, so Zeke’s storyline can go either way. It’s clear the show is going to play with our emotions when it comes to this carefully crafted love triangle.

Zeke will likely continue putting his empath intuition to good use to help those around him considering he got another chance at life.

But the point is—Zeke is very much alive for what’s to come… as far as we know.

Manifest begins its final descent on November 4, 2022 on Netflix.
