How Many Episodes is ‘Hijack’ on Apple TV?

Reviews

You may have heard of a new plane drama captivating the internet shortly after Manifest fittingly wrapped up its four-season run earlier this year.

Hijack on Apple TV+ has become the latest obsession, likely due to Idris Elba in the leading role utilizing his certain set of skills. He’s also the executive producer!

“When Flight KA29 is hijacked during its seven-hour journey from Dubai to London, corporate negotiator Sam Nelson tries to use his professional skills to save everyone on board,” the synopsis for the series notes.

Hijack Season 1 will consist of 7 total episodes, with the first three having already premiered—two episodes premiered back-to-back on June 28th, while the third episode landed on July 5.

The remainder of the episodes will follow a weekly rollout, which is a tad different than the typical streaming release all at once.

However, it builds up the anticipation, particularly for a suspenseful and action-filled series like Hijack, allowing audiences to digest what has happened in the first episode and try to figure out how things will pan out when the next one airs.

While I’m a huge fan of binge-watching all the episodes all at once, there’s something special about a weekly rollout that allows the series to have a longer shelf-life.

Either way, Hijack is a great series to fill in the voids left behind by other shows like the aforementioned Manifest while keeping us on our toes as we await the return of some other suspenseful thrillers such as Netflix’s Lupin.

In addition to Elba, Hijack also stars Archie Panjabi as Zahar Gahfoor, Ben Miles as Robin Allen, Neil Maskell as Stuart Atterton, Max Beesley as Daniel O’Farrell, and more.

You can watch the series on Apple TV+ now.
