“M.I.A.” is DOA at Peacock.
The streamer has canceled the crime drama after one season, Deadline reports.
The series hailed from “Ozark” creator Bill Dubuque, who also wrote and executive-produced “M.I.A.” Karen Campbell served as showrunner.
“M.I.A.” followed Etta Tiger Jonze (played by Shannon Gisela), whose family turned out to be drug runners. When they were murdered, she moved to Miami to exact revenge on the people who killed her loved ones.
“M.I.A.” was set and filmed in Miami. All nine Season 1 episodes dropped on Peacock on Friday, May 1.

The cast of “M.I.A.” also included Danay Garcia (“Fear the Walking Dead”), Brittany Adebumola (“The Other Black Girl”), Cary Elwes (“The Princess Bride”), Dylan Jackson (“City on Fire”), Marta Milans (“Killer Women”), Maurice Compte (“Narcos”), Tovah Feldshuh (“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”), Paul Ben-Victor (“Lanterns”), and Gerardo Celasco (“How to Get Away With Murder”).
“M.I.A.” now joins other series Peacock canceled in 2026. The streamer axed “Ponies,” the spy thriller starring Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson, in June after one season. The Simu Liu-led “The Copenhagen Test” was canceled in April, also after one season. That same month, Peacock put an end to “Law & Order: Organized Crime,” the “Law & Order: SVU” spinoff that bowed on NBC but moved to the streamer for Season 5 — which would turn out to be its last.
