Big Brother Season 28: The House Is Finally Coming for the Veterans

The tides are turning in the Big Brother house.

After weeks of the veterans being at the helm of the dominant alliance, their days may finally be numbered.

Big Brother Season 26 alum Angela has been closely aligned with Survivor veterans Dee and Rick throughout the first month of the game.

They want to keep each other safe, but Dee and Rick have already made it clear that their loyalty is to each other first, with Angela coming second.

That’s a pretty important distinction now that the house has started turning against them.

Angela’s recent meltdown and decision to expose the truth about her vote to Hayley forced Dee to do a lot of damage control with Kamu, and I’m not convinced Dee wants to keep dealing with Angela’s chaos for much longer.

We know Dee is enjoying the intensity of Big Brother, but there’s a good chance she’d actually like to see Angela out sooner rather than later.

The Toolshed is gone, the house has recalibrated, and people are still talking about Angela’s deception.

And now Taylor is making things even more complicated.

Big Brother Is About to Serve Up a Blindslide

Taylor has stepped up quite a bit over the last week and has been making deals that could send her deep into the game.

But she’s also been very vocal that the veterans and Kamu are the only four houseguests who haven’t seen the block this summer.

That got Dee thinking about how she could get Taylor evicted, and fast.

At this point, Taylor probably has more allies than either of the veterans, so that’s going to be a difficult move. Dee would have to put in some serious work to make it happen.

She’s not wrong about Taylor getting closer to Kamu, either.

After the implosion of the Red Corner, Kamu told Taylor he was ready to work with her and cut a deal with Head of Household LaTrice to stay off the block.

Kamu held up his end of the deal with LaTrice and Taylor by not using the Power of Veto he won on Saturday.

He also seems to believe there could be a way forward with Hayley, although it’s hard to tell how that relationship is going to shake out after everything that’s happened.

One thing is clear: Kamu is close with Taylor, LaTrice, and Yash right now, and he’s probably in a pretty good position with all three of them.

As for Yash and Mallory, they’re very much in sync about the fact that the reality TV veterans need to go after Chuk and Hayley.

And that’s where LaTrice may have made a pretty big mistake.

She told Angela that there’s an uprising against the veterans, which gives Angela exactly what she needs to start sowing seeds of unrest.

Angela is chaotic. She can absolutely blow up her own game.

But maybe that’s exactly what saves Dee and Rick for another few weeks.

Because these three still have some serious ammunition.

Dee has her Big Brother Bribe, while Rick has the Diamond Power of Veto.

One of those powers is pretty worthless, while the other is absolutely insane.

Rick would never use his power on Angela. But there’s every reason to believe he’d use it on Dee.

They’re incredibly close, and at this point, they’re ride-or-dies.

That’s why I don’t know how much longer the three of them can realistically stay off the block.

For the first time this summer, the house is looking at Angela, Dee, and Rick and seeing what everyone should have seen weeks ago: They’re huge threats.

They’ve survived because they had numbers, connections, and enough power to keep themselves protected.

Now the numbers are shifting. The walls are closing in, and with jury fast approaching, the time to take the shot is definitely now.

The question is whether the houseguests will actually pull the trigger.

Because if they don’t, Dee, Rick, and Angela could easily find another way to survive.

And if they do?

Well, Big Brother Season 28 just got a whole lot more interesting.
