There’s never a dull moment in the Big Brother house.
That much we’ve learned over the last week countless times as targets were set, battle lines were drawn and week one Head of Household Dee was forced to switch up her plans.
You see, nothing ever really goes to plan on the CBS reality TV series because there are just so many variables.

Dee’s power came to a grinding halt on Thursday evening when Ashley was evicted by a vote of 14-0, a scenario that I’d have laughed at had you asked me how this eviction would play out a few days ago.
Ashley was put on the block as a replacement nominee and Dee subsequently pondered if she kept her and used her as a number for her alliance with Angela, Barrett, and Rick.
Big Brother is a numbers game, but Ashley went on to self-sabotage by running her mouth to anyone that would listen about who needed to be targeted next.
As a result, the vote turned against her and her only hope was to win the Big Brother Blockbuster to save her game and potentially repair the bridges she burned.

During the first Big Brother Blockbuster of the season, Yash won the competition and saved himself from the block, leaving Ashley to attempt to win votes over Taylor.
What Ashley didn’t realize was that the entire house had been talking and had already decided to get rid of her, resulting in the landslide vote against her.
Ashley may not have gotten a lot of time to play the game, but she really did get the closest thing to the full Big Brother experience in terms of how she went from being in the know about the house to being out of the loop.
Was she blindsided? It sure seemed like it, given her reaction to the landslide vote against her.

If there’s any solace she can take from this situation it’s that she would have been the house target had she stayed in the game for another week.
But with her gone, there’s no telling what madness will unfold.
The Big Brother live feeds went dark for hours following the eviction and when they returned, a new Head of Household was crowned.
This week is especially interesting because America’s Vote is in play for the first time, meaning that viewers can theoretically help one player out of a sticky situation.

There also may be some punishments thrown in for good measure. This seems like something that could derail a HOH reign.
When the Big Brother live feeds returned, Rick was revealed as the second Head of Household of Big Brother Season 28.
With nominations coming later today, the Veto on Saturday, and America’s Vote promising to change things up, it will be an interesting few days in the Big Brother house.
What are your thoughts on the winner and what it means for the week ahead?

Are you excited?
