FBI, a show that never fails to deliver!
I think this episode might rank in the top five ever FBI episodes for me. I have absolutely loved the Anna and OA storyline, and even though she has been caught, I am sure that this storyline is long from over.
The way we started this episode was great: to see OA in London and then to see the team finally finding out about the unsanctioned op was perfect. I loved the reactions that Scola and Eva had; you could see the betrayal that they felt but also knew that they understood why they had been kept in the dark. 26 Fed will always be a ride-or-die family, and this whole episode was absolute proof of that.
The way they laid everything out throughout the episode made sure that you were along for the ride. I think one of the most effective ways I was hooked in was by us seeing Isaiah spying on the team and then ADIC Green bursting through the doors on their investigation. I was 100% suspicious of Isaiah, but it really did make me laugh when Isaiah said that he was trustworthy given the fact that he literally spied on their conversation.
I was so happy when ADIC Green said that he wanted in on the investigation; I was truly worried after the way that he was last season that we were going to see him shut the whole thing down and take all their jobs for it. It made for such a great watch.
Seeing the three agents interact on the roof was so funny to me. As much as I was paying attention to the way Maggie and OA were interacting, I was also paying attention to Isaiah, and you could tell exactly the moment that he realised that he was never going to have the kind of bond that Maggie and OA have.
One thing that this arc really showed me is how good Zeeko Zaki is as OA (not that it’s a surprise). He has been insanely good over these last three episodes, but this episode was the epitome of incredible. Even small moments and every big moment came together to make OA such a compelling character to watch. I was literally hook, line, and sinker for that White Rock story.
The biggest thing that I loved about this episode is that OA is still the same person that he was before he went under. Granted, in a broad sense, he isn’t, but in terms of his morals and the things he wants to live by, have not changed.
The fight between Devon and OA cemented exactly why OA is one of the best FBI agents; regardless of how he feels, he was never going to let Devon die intentionally, and that is what makes him so different from Anna.
When OA put the cuffs on Anna, I literally clapped because I was so happy that he was the one to do that. He deserved it after everything he has been through.
This entire episode was a cinematic masterpiece placed into 43 minutes of television, and that is incredible. You can’t help but love watching FBI when episodes like this exist.
