American Ninja Warrior
The action in Season 18 begins in Las Vegas, where contestants from the Western Region show off their strength, agility, and speed in the qualifying rounds. New this season: a mega three-lane racecourse dubbed the Tripleheader, with ninjas competing side-by-side-by-side in a race to the finish line. Hosts Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila, and co-host Zuri Hall, weigh in with their “Fastest Pick of the Night.”

Alice and Steve
British TV treasure Nicola Walker (Unforgotten, The Split) and New Zealand’s own Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords, What We Do in the Shadows) are the title characters in a terrific if uncomfortably spiky U.K. comedy about a lifelong friendship that may not survive its latest hurdle. The married Alice (Walker) and divorced Steve (Clement) dated way back in their 20s, but now pushing 50 and merrily platonic, they enjoy making mischief at funerals and pubs. Until one drug-addled night, Steve and Alice’s independent-minded 26-year-old daughter Izzy (Yali Topol Margalith) impulsively hook up and decide to make a go of it. A revolted and furious Alice takes it badly, no surprise, though the extent to which these former soulmates proceed to blow up each other’s lives in the ensuing feud is shocking and often painfully funny. All six episodes are available for binge-watching.

Below Deck Mediterranean
As Liz Lemon used to say on 30 Rock, I want to go to there. (In my case, having been there once, I want to go back to there.) Though maybe not necessarily on the good yacht M/Y Akira One with its ever-present camera crew. In Season 11, Captain Sandy Yawn and her combustible crew — this year including yet another new chef, Joy Lefaucheur — set sail from scenic Dubrovnik, Croatia (recognizable as Game of Thrones‘ King’s Landing), with Sandy navigating the relationships among her staff and Aesha Scott preparing for her wedding to her fiancé, Scott Dobson.

Top Chef
Season 23 of the trend-setting cooking competition ends with the final three chefs — Laurence Louie, Sherry Cardoso, and Rhoda Magbitang — treated to a final feast, and a surprise visit by loved ones bearing signature dishes. That’s the appetizer before the final Elimination Challenge, with a progressive four-course meal deciding who takes home $250,000, among other grand prizes.

You’re Killing Me
With a deadline due on their next book collaboration, Allie (Brooke Shields) and Andi (Amalia Williamson) head to a wooded cabin for some peace and quiet to focus — but in this Murder, She Wrote-stye cozy mystery, murder is never far behind. In a variation on Rear Window, Andi spies a murder from across the lake with her binoculars, but has trouble getting Allie and detective Jack (Tom Cavanagh), who are getting mighty close lately, to believe her.
