Orange Is the New Black star Ruby Rose is sharing a very traumatic story. Apparently, she was accused of killing a 4-year-old boy. Keep reading to find out what happened and how Ruby was involved in the death.
Ruby Rose Shares Her Story
Ruby Rose may be Australian, but she became well known in the US after her role starring in Orange Is the New Black. The 40-year-old actress played Stella Carlin on the hit show that first aired in 2015. That role led to other great spots including The Meg, Pitch Perfect 3, John Wick: Chapter 2, and more. Now, her TV show adventures continue as she is on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
However, before she was ever a famous actress, she apparently had some crazy stuff happen to her. This includes being accused of murdering a child that she found outside.
According to TMZ, Ruby told Kaitlyn Bristowe on her podcast that when she was just 15, she attended a party. During the party, she snuck off to have a cigarette. However, what she found would change her life. Lying in the bushes of a playground, she saw a weird shape. So, she went to inspect. That’s when she found a little boy in bad shape. He was just 4 years old but had “blood coming out of his ear, nose, mouth,” she recalls.
She and her friend carried the little boy back to the party. He eventually went to the hospital, where he ended up passing away.
However, the story didn’t end there.
Bullied By Her Classmates
Unfortunately, after dealing with this traumatic event, Ruby wasn’t off the hook. Instead, her classmates bullied her about it and even yelled “Baby Killer!” at her. She was even accused of committing the crime.
In the podcast, Ruby opens up about the story even more, saying that she was “accused of murder.” Kaitlyn responds, saying, “You were accused of murder?” to which Ruby says, “At 15 years old.”
Of course, it wasn’t her fault this happened. In fact, the little boy’s brother later was able to remember the story and told cops.
In a clip shared online, fans seem more than supportive of Ruby, though, and are so excited she’s getting a chance to share all of the stories that shaped her into the woman she is today.
“There’s a lot more to Ruby Rose’s story than what made the headlines,” the caption of the video reads. “And after this conversation, you might just understand her a little differently. ❤️”
- “She’s been needing this moment for YEARS..I am so happy you gave her that chance,” one fan says.
