Ben Flajnik was the Season 16 Bachelor in 2012. Bachelor Nation fans first met him during Ashley Hebert’s season of The Bachelorette the year prior. He was left heartbroken when Hebert chose J.P. Rosenbaum over him in the season finale. Hebert and Rosenbaum divorced a few years ago.
During his season of Bachelor, Flajnik fell for contestant Courtney Robertson, who was portrayed to viewers as the villain of the season. He proposed during the season finale, only for them to break up a few months later.
Robertson went on to marry Humberto Preciado in 2020 and is currently expecting her third child.
The winemaker from Sonoma, California, has kept a low profile since his time on reality TV. According to Us Weekly, Flajnik was asked multiple times over the years to join Bachelor In Paradise but declined.
Ben Flajnik Announces He Secretly Got Married
On November 25, Ben Flajnik took to his Instagram with a surprise announcement. He revealed to his followers and the world that he had secretly gotten married in October.
“Last month, in an intimate ceremony surrounded by family I married my best friend and it was the most incredible day of my life,” the former Bachelor wrote alongside a snapshot with his bride.
The caption continued, “Tears and laughs were had and I’ve never felt so present with another person in my life. I’m so grateful to do life with you and thank you for your unwavering love and support.”
While he never mentioned his wife’s name or tagged her, the post is geotagged Mission San Francisco Solano, which is located in a State Park in Sonoma, California.
The groom was dapper in a sleek black suit, crisp white shirt, and a tie in a silver hue. The bride wore a traditional gown that gracefully fell off her shoulders, accompanied by an embroidered veil.

Flajnik’s former rival, J.P. Rosenbaum, offered his congratulations on the wedding. Ashley Iaconetti also offered her congrats.
