Former Bachelor star Arie Luyendyk Jr. is one of the few success stories from the franchise. He has been happily married to Lauren Burnham Luyendyk since 2019, and they share four children. Now, Arie has revealed that he is undergoing a procedure that he has already had. So, why does he have to do it a second time around? Keep reading for more details.
Arie Luyendyk Is Having De Ja Vu
The Bachelor franchise has seen a lot of hits and misses, but it is still a fan favorite. Arie Luyendyk Jr. helmed Season 22 after competing on The Bachelorette. However, he did not ultimately care for his final pick, Becca Kufrin. Yes, he proposed at the finale, but he had remorse over letting Lauren Burnham go. They ultimately rekindled the flame after he and Becca parted ways. In 2019, they tied the knot and welcomed their first child that same year. They went on to have twins in 2021, and then Arie got a vasectomy.
Arie and Lauren saw that they were not done having kids, so he reversed the procedure. They welcomed their final baby in 2025, but now it seems that they are officially done and there is no going back. At least, that is what they are saying, as Arie is back in the office for his second vasectomy. He shared a snap of himself getting ready to leave for the procedure. His youngest daughter was running in the background, and he wrote:
- today’s a good day to get a vasectomy
Next to it, Arie had a pair of scissors and two tennis ball emojis.
After it was done, the former Bachelor lead shared another snap of himself in his car. This followed his previous snaps of him heading into the doctor’s office and hoping that he would be relaxed by the laughing gas. Then, he was back in his car, donning a shirt that read: “ALL JUICE NO SEED.”
However, he wanted it known that what he had done was nothing like giving birth, as he explained why he did not bring his wife with him:
“I’m going at it alone this time. The first time was a little traumatic, and Lauren being there felt weird, so. She was literally in the room. The second time, when I got the reversal, I was out cold. Now this time, I’ve gone to a new doctor who does laughing gas, so I’m hoping this goes a little smoother. But honestly, I can’t complain. This doesn’t hold a candle to giving birth.”
Will It Be Final?
It is unclear if this will be the last time Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s doctor sees him for this matter. He had a vasectomy, and then he had it reversed. Now, he has done it again, but what if they get the itch? Hopefully, he has frozen something just in case, so they never have to deal with this all over again. The Bachelor couple is very fortunate that they have been able to reverse the procedure and that it was successful. Moreover, the couple seems content with their four.
