Chris Harrison spent years working on various Bachelor Nation shows before walking away a few years back. Since then, it’s been announced that he is set to make his return to the world of reality television. This new show also marks a first for its network.
Chris Harrison Has Been A Host On The Bachelor & A Number Of Its Spin-Offs, From The Bachelorette To Bachelor in Paradise
Harrison is known to many as the host of The Bachelor from 2002 to 2021. He also hosted a number of the show’s spin-offs. These include The Bachelorette from 2003 to 2021, Bachelor Pad from 2010 to 2012, and Bachelor in Paradise from 2014 to 2021. Outside of this, he also hosted the syndicated version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire from 2015 to 2019.
Harrison announced that he would be stepping away from the Bachelor franchise in early 2021. After a few months, it was announced that the decision would be permanent.
Recently, it’s been announced that Harrison is returning to hosting reality television with Fox Nation’s first ever dating series, The Vow. Set to debut in November, the dating series looks at 30-year-old bachelor Jace Cates as he navigates relationships with 10 women.
As reflected by the title, the series hopes to set itself apart from other dating shows by focusing on long-term commitments. Cates and the women are expected to discuss faith, family, communication, and plans for the future.
According to Fox News, Harrison shared in a statement, “We were inspired by the faith-driven renaissance happening across America. And as a result, I believe we’ve created the most authentic dating show on television today.”
Harrison Felt That The ‘Stakes Couldn’t Be Higher’ On The Vow
Harrison continued, “At a time when so many people feel dating has become harder than ever, ‘The Vow’ asks a simple but important question: Can genuine, lasting love still be found in the modern world? The stakes couldn’t be higher. I’m incredibly proud and honored to put my name on this show.”
Fox Nation President Lauren Petterson also highlighted Harrison’s involvement with the project. She shared, “We’re thrilled to partner with him on a fresh, thoughtful take that returns the focus to what so many people are ultimately searching for: a genuine connection built to last.”
Petterson continued, “This series explores the conversations, values and real-life moments that matter long after production ends. And we believe audiences will connect with its authentic and hopeful approach to finding lasting love.”
