Bill Maher recently mocked President Donald Trump‘s Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool woes in Washington, D.C.
On the Friday, June 19 episode of Real Time With Bill Maher, the late-night host, 70, took aim at the POTUS during his opening monologue. He segued to the Reflecting Pool by pointing out that Mars is getting rid of blue M&Ms for its upcoming dye-free offering. Eliminating artificial dyes in food is something that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been outspoken on since taking over as Secretary of Health and Human Services.
“Bobby Kennedy is getting rid of the blue M&Ms,” Maher said. “The blue dye in the M&Ms is very bad for you — and they’re gonna get rid of the blue dye out of the M&Ms and pour it directly into the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.”
The stand-up comedian added, “Have you seen what’s going on with that, with the Reflecting Pool? Drain the swamp? Now there’s one in the middle of town.”

Maher explained for those who hadn’t been following the saga, “Trump thought that the pool was looking a little tired — it used to be a 10, and then it was like a six. I’m not against spiffying-up the Capitol. But is there anything they try to do that they don’t f*** up?” I mean, Trump wanted it bluer, and now it’s green with algae.”
To conclude his jabs at the Reflecting Pool situation, Maher joked, “And they can’t figure out how to get the algae under control, but they did get it to sign a memorandum of understanding,” referencing the preliminary peace deal with Iran that Trump signed.
On Saturday, June 20, the POTUS shared via Truth Social, “The United States Park Police have arrested multiple individuals for vandalizing our Nations magnificent Reflecting Pool. These are very serious crimes having to do with the destruction of National Monuments. Years in jail! Work will begin immediately on its repair.”
Trump returned to the social media platform later that evening to share additional details about the state of the Lincoln Center Reflecting Pool.
