Bill Maher just shared a surprising detail about his relationship status: He might not be so single, after all.
During the Monday, August 10 episode of Maher’s Club Random Podcast, the late-night host, 70, sat down with American Pie and Scary Movie actress Shannon Elizabeth, 52, for a wide-ranging conversation. Maher, at one point, used the phrase, “my girl,” when talking about going to a supermarket, and it immediately caught Elizabeth’s attention.
“So you do have a girl,” she interjected, pointing out, “You said before, you were single.”
“Well… Let’s not parse the words,” Maher replied before going back to the original point of his story.
The Real Time With Bill Maher host didn’t divulge who he is dating — although he has been romantically linked to film producer Noor Alfallah, 32. (She shares a son, Roman Pacino, born in 2023, with her ex, Al Pacino, 86.) Despite being spotted in public together with Maher on several occasions, Alfallah told TMZ in 2024, “Bill’s my friend — just my friend. But he’s great, though.”
More recently, in January 2026, Bill and Alfallah attended the 68th Grammy Awards Pre-Grammy Gala in Los Angeles.

During an October 2024 interview on the Skinny Confidential Him & Her Show (now called The Bossticks), Maher acknowledged that his dating was “not age-appropriate.” Host Michael Bosstick asked if the women he dated were “perceived in an unorthodox context, younger than what you should be dating,” to which Maher clarified, “Not just perceived, they literally are.”
Maher echoed these sentiments in a January 2025 interview on the Fly on the Wall Podcast, when he pitched an idea for a reality TV show starring himself and David Spade, who was also a guest on the podcast.
“I think a great show would be one of us — mostly, probably, me — doing The Golden Bachelor. But — like our real lives — not with an age-appropriate woman,” Maher said.
Additionally, the stand-up comedian said that dating “age-appropriate” women was “boring,” reiterating that the reality TV show would feature him seeking an “age-inappropriate woman.” Maher then quipped, “Because, you know what the appropriate age for a relationship is? One that works.”
