Motherhood looks good on Raven Gates. The Bachelor in Paradise alum gave birth this week and is finally heading home from the hospital. She was admitted Monday and gave birth in the early morning hours Tuesday. Adam kept everyone up to speed on Raven’s labor and intense delivery. Now, she and her husband Adam Gottschalk are sharing more details and photos about their new baby boy.
Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk share more details about their son
Raven and Adam both went to social media to share that they are finally heading home from the hospital as a happy family of three. Both shared multiple photos of their baby boy. They also shared a lot more.
Raven captioned her post by introducing her son to the world. She said, “In a wild turn of events from pushing to an emergency C Section – Gates Zev Gottschalk was born on Jan 18th at 3:33am. He weighed 8.6 oz and 21in long.”
She went on to say, “What was life before him??? I can’t recall. So many of you told me “seeing your child for the first time, it’s a feeling you can’t explain”. You all were so right!”
Raven said one of these days she may tell the whole story about his birth but for now she’s going to soak in all the snuggles.
She went on to praise the doctors and nurses who took care of her. She also thanked both her and Adam’s families for all their support.
Then, Raven said, “But the most comforting part of all was looking into Adam’s green eyes knowing we were in this together. Many things could of went wrong but God heard my prayers. My sweet baby is healthy. I am very blessed!”
Adam shared the meaning of their son’s name
Adam shared many pictures and a video of their little “nugget” and he praised Raven for being such a trooper. He also said, “Gates Zev Gottschalk – Gates was a name we picked out randomly one night while on a date and it stuck so well. It is also tribute to Ravens maiden name. Zev is a name of Hebrew origin which means Wolf – also my great grandfathers name.” He also noted they are already getting ready for the 2045 NFL draft.
Both Raven and Adam couldn’t be happier and are excited to be home after their long week. Raven ended up having an emergency c-section after a long day of labor and pushing.
