Brooke Hogan Breaks Silence On Dad’s Affair With Her Best Friend
Hulk Hogan was married to his first wife, Linda, for over twenty years. They had two children during their marriage, Brooke and Nick. Linda Hogan filed for divorce in 2007 after twenty-four years of marriage. He went on to marry Jennifer McDaniel in 2010, but they split in 2021. He married his third wife, Sky Daily, in 2023.
Brooke Hogan has struggled with her complicated relationship with her father since his death. She released a new song this week that was inspired by her dysfunctional family. She spoke to Us Weekly about her father’s affair with her close friend while promoting “Goes Around.”
Christiane Plante revealed to the National Enquirer in 2008 that she had slept with the wrestling star the prior year while he was still married to Linda. “A major turning point came after he slept with my friend Christiane [Plante],” Brooke Hogan told Us Weekly. “I forgive people very easily — sometimes probably too easily — and I forgave him, but something between us changed afterward. I don’t think he ever related to me in quite the same way again.”
“Then the divorce happened, and our entire family structure changed,” she added. “The biggest thing I wish people understood about the Hogan family: Public perception reduces families into heroes and villains. Real families aren’t that simple.”
Her Mom Denies Alleged Affair
Christiane Plante and Brooke Hogan have both said the affair happened. However, Brooke Hogan’s mother, Linda, denied it ever happened in response to Brooke’s recent interview. “I was there and no he didn’t,” Linda Hogan wrote in a social media comment.
But her daughter hit back with receipts. She posted a quote from her mother’s 2011 memoir, Wrestling the Hulk: My Life Against the Ropes.
“When Brooke told me about [Hulk’s] affair with Christiane, it felt good to hear Brooke say that my suspicions were right all along. She told me that she felt bad for me. Having Brooke understand my position gave me extra confirmation that I had made the right decision,” the book passage said.
