At the end of CIA‘s penultimate episode, Case Officer Colin Glass (Tom Ellis) discovered that his former partner, Toni (Angela Sarafyan), is actually alive — and was the one to kill the mole! Now, in TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek of the Monday, May 18, Season 1 finale (airing at a special time, 9/8c), he comes face-to-face with her, and there’s no way this was the reunion he could have ever expected.
As Toni flees an incident, Colin takes chase. When he catches up to her, she’s holding a gun but not aiming it at him. As Colin’s new partner, FBI Special Agent Bill Goodman (Nick Gehlfuss), gives him an update, Colin removes his comm. “Put the gun down, Toni,” he tells her, but instead, she raises it.
“Oh, are you going to kill me now? Because you missed your chance in Mindanao?” he asks. Toni, in return, questions, “Is that what you think? That you were the target?” Colin admits, “I don’t know what to think anymore. So why don’t you put the gun down and let’s talk?” She says she can’t because she’s not finished and won’t answer him when he asks with what.
“You could’ve come to me,” he pushes. “You know I was out there searching for you. Why didn’t you come to me?” Watch the full sneak peek above for more, including how their conversation ends.
In the Season 1 finale, titled “Broken Glass,” CBS teases, “After the identity of the mole is revealed, Colin and Bill race to stop a nefarious operation from covering up intelligence theft. Also, the team tracks down Colin’s old partner, Toni.”
Colin is not doing well with the reveal that Toni’s alive, Ellis told us, explaining, “The universe has conspired, and he’s basically doubting every instinct he ever had as a spy and as a human, I guess. And he’s spinning out, and he makes it his mission to find Toni. And when he finds her, he wants to kill her. And so yeah, he’s basically not a reliable, centered human being in the finale, and good job Bill’s there because he is.”
Added Gehlfuss, “That’s part of the partnership, right? They rely on each other when they need to, and it’s completely human to get in too deep in emotionally over when work and personal blend.”
