The couple used social media to stay in touch with fans after TLC canceled Counting On after Josh Duggar’s arrest for possession of child porn. Jeremy and Jinger got into the podcast genre in 2024 with their self-titled podcast. Jinger announced on this week’s episode that she’s kicked her husband off the podcast after two years.

Her sister, Joy-Anna (Duggar) Forsyth, takes his place at the mic. Joy-Anna recently revealed that she’s pregnant with her fourth baby. Jinger opened up about dumping her husband. “He’s just in a very busy season of life, working a full-time job. He’s also, like, trying to finish his doctor of ministry degree and also starting a Bible study, doing a ton of things,” she said.

However, he will still work behind the scenes as a producer. Joy-Anna has stepped in for Jeremy several times in the last few months. The sisters revealed that the idea of Joy-Anna taking over came from their constant phone calls. “We have been having some pretty life-altering conversations on the phone, like, literally life-altering,” Jinger Duggar said.

What To Expect From Call Your Sister

Joy-Anna and Jinger are very close. Joy-Anna shared her excitement to bring their private phone calls to the podcast. “I love that we’re doing this podcast because I know that, before we decided to do this, our weekly calls or every-other-week calls, FaceTime, texting, all the things are always a highlight for me to keep up,” she said.

The sisters previously discussed their brother Joseph’s arrest and how it affected them. Joseph Duggar was arrested earlier this year for allegedly molesting a 9-year-old girl. He returned to Arkansas after his arrest and returns to court on September 15, 2026.

Duggar fans were over the moon at the sisters co-hosting a podcast. Check out some of the responses:

  • “Not me secretly hoping you would make the switch after so many episodes together! Nothing against Jeremy EVER! But nothing beats a girl chat”
  • “I love that y’all are doing a pod together!”
  • “I wish you luck with the new podcast ..you are both charming and I hope you won’t shy away from tough conversations.”
  • “That’s fun, and I’ll enjoy listening to it, but I’ve listened to every episode of J&J and I’m sad if that’s over for good now”

New episodes of the Call Your Sister with Joy & Jinger podcast drop on Wednesdays.
