Season 30 of The Voice premieres on September 21st, but the coaches are sharing what sets this season apart from all the others. Two new coaches have joined, but it is commonplace for them to rotate. So, what can viewers expect that is new and novel? Keep reading for more details.
The Voice Is Back With 2 New Coaches
It is now Season 30 of The Voice, and there are two returning coaches: Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson. Joining them are first-timers Queen Latifah and country superstar Riley Green. Carson Daly is back as the host, possibly for the last time. The fact that the reality singing competition has lasted this long is an incredible feat. Fans are thrilled for what’s to come, but there is something about this season in particular that is unlike any other.

When the coaches got together, they just clicked. It is not as if they have never gotten along before, but this was an instantaneous connection. They had spent time apart before coming back to film the battle rounds, and they were thrilled to reunite. OG coach Adam Levine shared this insight:
“We laughed a lot. One of the first things we all noticed was how quickly we just clicked into it. We’ve done this enough times to know when it’s not like that. [This year] the chemistry was there.”
At the same time, Adam, who has been under a microscope for his strained marriage, noted how the show has been incredible for him. He chose to do it because it was a chance to give back to others:
“It was the first time in my career that I felt, ‘Oh, wow, I actually have something to give back.’”
The Maroon 5 frontman added that he spent years trying to succeed, and The Voice allowed him to turn the tables. He could now take rising stars and help them get to where they wanted to go, which Kelly Clarkson agreed with. That is what makes the show so special all along.
Fans Are Excited
It has been hard to find the perfect coaching balance. However, The Voice fans seem very excited for these four and what they have to bring to the table. In fact, some have stated that this is the perfect lineup and will make watching the show worth it:
- This is the 1st quartet in quite a while I actually like ALL of them. Couldn’t stand Ceelo, Gwen, Blake (after the 1st coupole of seasons) to name but a few
- Can’t wait, but sure miss Adam and Blake combo.
- The Voice concept is what I liked from the start. Helping artists realize their dream.
- Riley-just yummmmmm..He can sing me to sleep anytime he wants to!
