It has been a busy week for the Counting On family. Joy-Anna Forsyth just announced that she is expecting a 2027 baby, and now, Johannah Duggar is set to wed in October. So, who is she marrying? As it turns out, she will be walking down the aisle with one of her sister-in-law’s brothers. Keep reading for all of the details.
Johannah Duggar Has Found Her Person
She may only be 20 years old, but Johannah Duggar has found love and is ready to settle down. This is not uncommon for the Counting On cast, as they tend to wed at young ages. They were all between roughly 18 and 24 when they finally settled down and eventually began their families. After all, there are nineteen children in the Duggar family, so they are used to being around a lot of kids, and some felt they grew up fast. As for Johannah, she is somewhat keeping it in the family, as she is marrying her sister-in-law’s brother.
The twenty-year-old has filed for a marriage license and will be marrying David Swanson. This wedding is allegedly set to take place on October 10th. David is the brother of Lauren Swanson, who is currently married to Johannah’s brother, Josiah. They tied the knot in 2018, while their brother James also courted a Swanson for a brief time. This wedding will take place in Arkansas, as that is where the license was filed, and it is an interesting time for Counting On fans.
Michelle Duggar gave birth to Johannah on television, so they will find this a full-circle moment. Johannah will be the second-youngest daughter to get married, next to Joy-Anna, who is currently expecting another baby. So, there is a lot to look forward to in the family over the next several months. Fans may recall seeing David Swanson on the family’s reality series many years ago, but since then, he has been very low-key.
The Little Girl Is Growing Up
Yes, Johannah Duggar is growing up, and Counting On fans cannot believe it. They are trying to comprehend how she is old enough to get married when she was just born on television. However, they also had some other critiques:
- I’ve always felt so bad for her that while a pretty girl she basically has the same face as Josh. I would hate that.
- Multiple kids from family A marrying multiple kids from family B is very weird to me.
- It so weird to marry your brother in law
- I always thought she looked like Joy. A couple of the boys look like Josh but other than that I think most of the kids look pretty uniquely themselves. Genetics are wild.
Regardless of all of this, she is getting married, and this will be a lovely day for the Counting On brood.
