Are the Dancing With the Stars judges forced to favor Jackson Olson over Connor Wood? It has long been questioned whether the dancing reality competition series is rigged. Although all of the DWTS pros, judges, and dancers have disputed this, there are clues that this could be true. Keep reading for more details.
Connor Not Getting Scores He Deserves For Specific Reason
Season 35 of DWTS has been met with a lot of scrutiny. There has been drama between Carrie Ann Inaba and pro dancer Val Chmerkovskiy. He spoke aggressively and somewhat threateningly toward her. It led to his weeklong suspension, which not all viewers agreed with. At the same time, there have been a lot of questions regarding voting and favoritism. The judges claim that they do not vote based on who their favorites are or aren’t, but rather on who is the best and who needs improvement.

Now, it has come up that the judges may be forced to favor certain celebrities to help keep them on the show longer. So, why would they do this, and who are they favoring above others? One content creator, @perry111nicole, shared a theory that Jackson Olson needs to stick around because he is a Savannah Banana. How does that affect DWTS and the show as a whole? Technically, it does not, but the show airs on ABC, which is owned by Disney. Disney also owns ESPN, which just signed a massive distribution deal with the league.

They will now stream on Disney+, so keeping Jackson on Dancing With the Stars would be a great power move. Tyler Cameron was already in the ABC family from The Bachelorette, and his new show will have ABC ties. Julia Stiles has movies streaming on Disney+, and The Fresh Prince streams on Hulu, but Connor Wood is on an island. It was also noted that initially, the judges were really nice to Connor, and now they have chilled.

Jackson Olson is not the greatest dancer on DWTS. Neither was Guillermo Rodriguez, and he is part of the ABC family as well. He was praised immensely and made it past some celebs who were incredibly talented. After the breakdown was made, fans agreed that this could be the reason Jackson is still here:
- Yep, he’s the only guy left who doesn’t have some tie to ABC in some way.
- This season is so rigged and it’s disgusting to see how badly dwts has sold out. Another one bites the dust, these large corporations are ruining everything
- Disney + added save the last dance in September. they all have a money grab of some sort.
- Omg had this exact thought. And Maura also brings in the EU/UK crowd which is a marketing ploy.
It was noted that Taylor Hanson’s band plays Epcot every year, but he does not have a record deal with Disney, so where’s that big money?
