Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson and Dralin Carswell have not had the easiest road. The age difference between the two ruffled some feathers. Despite it all, Alana maintained that she did not care and would not let the trolls get to her. Unfortunately, more transpired recently but the teenager continued to clap back. Now, she and her beau of over a year are getting a lot of support from fans. Hopefully, it overrides the negativity in her life.
Honey Boo Boo And Dralin’s Rough Road
Alana’s older sister Pumpkin was adamant that she could not date until she was sixteen. Of course, she met Dralin prior to her sweet sixteen through mutual friends. They immediately clicked and started talking nonstop. Once he was vetted by Pumpkin, she gave the okay for them to pursue whatever they chose. Of course, it was uncomfortable for some fans as Dralin was twenty when he started seeing Honey Boo Boo. Many people still saw her as the cute little pageant girl and not a teenager. The whole family really liked him including her aunt Doe Doe and eldest sister, Anna.
Mama June liked him enough but felt he needed to hold down a more stable job. She did admit that all of the public scrutinies caused Alana to post fewer photos of them on her social media. Dralin became so close to the family that he accompanied Pumpkin and co. to California in early July for a family vacation. This also included a meet and greet with fans. Then, it was revealed that he had been arrested in 2019 for statutory rape when he was eighteen. He had been dating a girl who was fifteen and though it was consensual, her parents were livid. Alana has stuck by him and now, fans are sticking by the couple.
Support All The Way
Today, Honey Boo Boo shared a photo on Instagram of the couple at the Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre in Colorado. Next to it, she put the caption: “stronger than ever.” Fans immediately chimed in with the most supportive comments, despite them being limited on the post.

As of now, the two are still contemplating weight loss surgery, set to take place at the end of August. For the moment, they are just living life and enjoying each other’s company. As long as she is safe and happy, that is all that matters.
