Sean Cavanaugh Will Be One Of Three New Bachelor Farmers On Fox’s Farmer Wants A Wife
Farmer Wants a Wife is an American reality series based on the British series of the same name. On the show, a bachelor farmer must pick his love from a group of various city women.
The American version of the series originally premiered on The CW back in 2008. However, the series was revived years later by Fox, with the series now featuring multiple farmers looking for love, with this version making its debut in 2023. The Fox run is set to debut its fourth season on April 21, 2026, this time featuring three bachelor farmers: Braden Pridemore, Brett Maverick, and Sean Cavanaugh.
Cavanaugh is a farm-to-table produce farmer based in Solvang, California. Before the season makes it debut, he sat down with Us Weekly to talk about what fans can expect from him.
Starting things out, Cavanaugh warned fans that they will be seeing a lot of skin from him while down on the farm. As he explained, this was sort of the show’s decision. He shared, “They definitely had me take my shirt off a whole lot. I kind of fell into that trap pretty quickly.”
Cavanaugh Also Wanted To Address Some Misconceptions Fans Might Have From The Show
Cavanaugh admitted that this wasn’t unexpected, but he admitted to having some regrets about it in hindsight. He shared, “I know I’m going to be shirtless a whole bunch on the season. If I could go back, I wouldn’t have done it. But it is what it is, whatever.”
While speaking with the outlet, Cavanaugh also took time to introduce himself before his season premiered. Describing himself, he shared, “I feel like I’m kind of an old soul. I always have been, and I’m very traditional.”
In particular, Cavanaugh also shared what he is looking for. He explained, “I was raised Christian, so I had some pretty strict standards that I was looking for. I said I was looking for a best friend, but also a love interest in my life. And I found exactly that.”
Cavanaugh also wanted to dispel some misconceptions he believes people have about the show. He noted that some people think farm life is “glamorous and fun.” While he admitted this is not completely untrue, he felt, “There’s also a lot of hard work that goes into it. I would say a lot of people don’t see the hard hours that go into farm life, but if you’re willing to do it, it’s such a fulfilling lifestyle. I hope to be doing it for the rest of my life.”
