Jon Lindstrom has been part of a number of famous soap operas. However, he has also shown interest in another line of work. However, he felt that there was a reason fans of his soaps would still be quite interested in what he’s been up to.
Jon Lindstrom Has Been In A Number Of Soaps, Including General Hospital & Beyond the Gates
As an actor, many know Lindstrom for playing Kevin Collins and Ryan Chamberlain on the soap opera, General Hospital. He also portrayed Kevin in the supernatural-themed spin-off, Port Charles.
Over the years, fans have seen Lindstrom appear in a number of other soaps, including As the World Turns and Days of Our Lives. More recently, soap viewers saw him on Beyond the Gates, playing Joey Armstrong.

However, Lindstrom has pursued other ways to share his creativity with the world. He is also a writer, with his debut novel, Hollywood Hustle, coming out in 2024.
The soap star is also set to release his second novel, Hollywood Payback, on April 14, 2026. In the interim, he has opened up about what he likes most about writing.
Lindstrom Teased That His First Book Has Already Been Optioned For A Film
Speaking with Roger Newcomb of We Love Soaps, Lindstrom admitted that he learned that he really enjoyed the craft as he penned his two novels. As he shared, “I’m an early‑morning writer—up at 5:00 or 5:30, and I don’t check email or texts. It’s peaceful.”
Lindstrom felt that a writer always has company when working on a story. As he explained, “People ask if it’s lonely, but no—you’ve got all these voices in your head. And honestly, I prefer it to sitting in a development meeting with people who haven’t read the material but still have opinions.”
The actor also teased that fans might soon see his stories come to life on the screen. As he shared, “My first book has been optioned and is being adapted now. Hollywood Payback could make a great film, but I leave that to others. To attract a star today, you need a screenwriter with a different track record than mine.”
Hollywood Payback reportedly revolves around a once-promising actor, Jake Ferguson, who seeks revenge after witnessing a murder and realizing he’s been set up. Lindstrom also noted that soap opera fans might especially like Jake. As he shared, “Soap fans love anti‑heroes. Jake is flawed, but he has a strong moral center. He’s learned his lessons and is trying to make things right. That resonates with daytime audiences.”
