‘GMA’ Michael Strahan Replaced For Good Or Temporary?

TV Shows

This week, Good Morning America replaced host Michael Strahan: but was it for good or just a temporary swap?

Michael has been out of the studio frequently as summer marches on. And this week, he was out again. This has led worried and curious fans to ask if he’s being replaced for good, or if this is just another temporary absence. Keep reading to find out what’s going on with the host.

Michael Has Been Absent Frequently This Summer

Michael Strahan has missed many days in the studio over the summer. These absences have fueled speculations and questions among fans, who wonder why their favorite is gone so often.

Last week, Michael was seen out and about in New York City. He was headed to the popular Greek restaurant, Milo’s. The former NFL star wore a light pink top and gray slacks. Fans noticed immediately that the GMA host’s biceps were bursting out of his sleeves, and he looked healthy if a little annoyed.

The talk show host appeared to be busy on his phone, and annoyed at being photographed. But overall, his appearance didn’t give any hint as to why he was absent from work.

GMA Replaced Michael Strahan, But Is It Temporary Or Permanent?

Michael’s last day in the studio was July 20. Since then he’s been out with no explanations given. Last Friday, Michael was joined in absentia by co-hosts George Stephanopoulos and Robin Roberts, who were also out for the day. However, George and Robin returned to the studio on Monday. They were joined later by regular host Lara Spencer. But filling in for Michael was frequent temporary host, Linsey Davis. Again, Michael’s absence went without explanation. As of now, it’s not clear where Michael has been or why he’s been absent. It’s also unclear when fans can expect him to return to the studio.

He has not been idle during his time off, however. Michael Strahan has been on social media recently promoting another show that he hosts. Michael is also the host of $100,000 Pyramid. Yet most of those episodes have been filmed already in New York City. So it’s unlikely that he’s been busy filming for his other show.

For now, fans are left baffled and wondering why Michael Strahan has been absent from Good Morning America. Do you think that he has been replaced permanently? Or is he just dealing with some personal issues and will return to the studio later this summer? Sound off in the comments. Share your thoughts on Michael’s absence, and let us know who you think should replace him if he’s out. And catch GMA every weekday morning on ABC at 7 AM EST.
