New allegations have surfaced that Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner has not exactly been honest about his past. On television, fans have seen Gerry cry and get emotional about losing his wife of 43 years in 2017. After losing Toni, he eventually dipped his toes into the dating pool. However, according to him, nothing serious ever took place and he didn’t date much at all. Now, a new report has surfaced that says that is not true at all. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news and had an interview with an anonymous woman who claims she had a fairly lengthy relationship with Gerry Turner after Toni passed away.
She claims The Golden Bachelor is not being honest about his dating history. In fact, she says that she dated him for ten months and then moved in with him at the lake in Indiana for a year and nine months.
There were things she said that didn’t exactly paint Gerry in a great light. So, now, a Bachelor insider opened up to Life & Style saying that contestants are upset after hearing these new allegations or revelations about Gerry’s past.
They said the contestants on the show feel like Gerry has not been honest with them about everything. The source said, “The perfect guy fantasy has been shattered and a lot of the women who fell in love with him feel lied to. It’s put a dark cloud over the whole show that was finally getting raves for finding a genuine, caring guy who stole America’s heart.”
There are also many fans who are questioning if their favorite leading man is really this dishonest.
What did the woman say?
The woman who claims to have had a relationship with Gerry Turner for over two years says they met as coworkers at Vera French Mental Health Center in Davenport, Iowa.
After Toni passed away, Gerry reached out a month later to the anonymous woman and the two had dinner together. The relationship continued and The Golden Bachelor reportedly told the lady that she was the one and he didn’t need to look any further.
Once living together, Gerry seemingly changed. According to the woman, he had her pay for her half of everything. He was also insisting that she make the bed every morning before coming to breakfast.
He then uninvited her from going to his class reunion because she gained ten pounds and he insinuated he didn’t like the way she looked now.
This led to their downfall and they broke up in late 2019. Prior to her moving out, she fell down the stairs while packing and had to have foot surgery. He reportedly accused her of falling on purpose to prolong her stay with him. So, he had her move out to a hotel.
