TV Shows

The Hallmark Channel is premiering Guiding Emily to kick off their Saturday March lineup. This movie which originally premiered on HMM, stars Sarah Drew in an incredible performance. In addition, Antonio Cupo, and Eric McCormack also star in this heartwarming movie.

Although Eric is a star of this movie, it is actually his voice. We never see him. The Will & Grace star is the voice of Garth the guide dog.

Here is what this movie is all about.

What Is Guiding Emily About?

Here is what Guiding Emily is about. According to the synopsis, Emily has it all together. She has a great fiancé, a rewarding job, and a close work team. She is self-sufficient and very motivated. However, everything changes when she has an accident rock climbing. She can no longer see. Moreover, there is no hope that she will regain her eyesight.

Now, Emily has to rebuild her life from the beginning. Simple things like going out to a restaurant now are stressful and difficult. Emily has given up. However, her friend Matthew shows up and helps navigate her towards getting her life back. She soon develops systems that help her to live as normally as possible.

Now, all she needs is a guide dog. But, the wait is long. However, Garth, who has run into Emily over the course of time, has had a hard time becoming a guide dog. But, he and Emily seem to have a bond. Together, they can work to give her back her life.

When Is The Hallmark Channel Premiere Of Guiding Emily?

The Hallmark Channel premiere of Guiding Emily is on Saturday, March 2, at 8 p.m., Eastern. Also, Peacock viewers can watch this Sarah Drew-led movie up to 72 hours after the premiere.

Hallmark Is Rebranding Hallmark Movies & Mysteries

Although the Hallmark Channel has previously premiered movies that originally premiered on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, this time it all makes sense. That is because starting March 6, HMM will be Hallmark Mystery.

There will no longer be more emotional or “sad” movies on the sister network. Instead, it is only mysteries like fan-favorite series like Curious Caterer, and Hannah Swensen, as well as new series like CrimeTime and the new Aurora Teagarden prequel reboot.

This means that the Hallmark Channel will be the only place you can see Mahogany movies and every other romcom or dramatic movie in one place. This makes it simple for viewers. That is in addition to series like When Calls The Heart and The Way Home.

Don’t miss the Hallmark Channel’s debut of Sarah Drew in her amazing performance in the movie Guiding Emily. This airs on Saturday, March 2, at 8 p.m., Eastern.
