Brennan Elliott has become known for a number of films and television shows over the years, especially multiple Hallmark projects. Recently, as one such project dropped, he opened up about life and work. In particular, he discussed what it was like working after a tragic loss.
One Of Brennan Elliott’s Latest Films, A Castle of Our Own, Dropped On June 27
Elliott is an actor who became known to many through his work on the medical series, Strong Medicine, from 2000 to 2004. In recent years, he has become known for appearing in a number of Hallmark projects. These include Cedar Cove, the Crossword Mysteries, and Flower Shop Mysteries franchises, and various Christmas projects.
In his personal life, Elliott married Camilla Row in 2011, with the couple sharing two children together. Tragically, Camilla passed away in 2025.

Recently, Elliott spoke with People ahead of his upcoming Hallmark film, A Castle of Our Own. In the film, he plays a man named Adam who feels stuck after his wife left them while he was building their dream home.
With the film coming out 15 months after the loss of his wife, Elliott admitted that he could find himself empathizing with the story. As Elliott shared, “I was stuck also. It’s tough to move forward when certain things happen to you, but you’ve got to keep plugging away. I feel like this is the next chapter of my life.”
Elliott Also Opened Up About What Is Helping Him Find Comfort In Life
As the outlet noted, Row, a clinical psychologist, first shared her cancer diagnosis in 2018. Following this, she became a voice in the gastric cancer community, sharing her own story. In March 2025, Elliott shared the news that she had passed away at 45.
Elliott continued, “We miss her, but she was in so much pain. She’s at peace now, and we’ve had to rebuild. Grief doesn’t have to be scary. Yes, it’s painful, but it’s really taught me a lot about a lot of things that I wouldn’t have ever learned if I didn’t go through it.”
The actor also reflected on what it was like working during Row’s health struggles, wanting to be able to support her. He shared, “For a lot of the time I was working while Cami was sick, it was a state of survival. I was much more, ‘Let’s get this and let’s do this, let’s make it good, and I’ve got to call her and make sure she’s okay.’ I’d go film a movie or I’d do a TV series, and I’d make money and take care of her and take her to chemo.”
Elliott noted that it was actually his wife who grew concerned for him during this time. Opening up, he admitted to finding comfort in spending time with his kids, with him finding himself appreciating little things in a new light. Ultimately, looking to the future, he shared, “I had lost a little bit of just me, to be honest. And my wife was the one who always said, ‘Don’t lose you for my benefit. Please don’t lose you. That’s the person I love.’ I think she would be very proud of the man that I am now.”
