What Is Hallmark’s Miracle In Bethlehem, PA About?

It is Christmas Eve, and a new mother is turned away from the inn. Where does she go now? Here is what Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ new movie Miracle In Bethlehem, PA is all about. According to the synopsis, Mary Ann Brubek is an independent woman who has had a lot of success in her career. Now, she is adopting a baby girl to bring her what she wants in her personal life.

She has adopted her baby girl, but getting home has proven to  be tricky. Mary Ann and her tiny baby are now stuck in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and have nowhere to go. The mother and daughter go to the inn, but they are turned away there. However, the innkeeper suggests that Mary Ann stay with their brother.

The brother’s name is Joe. He “lives in a house that he treats like a barn.”

Although she is stuck there, Mary Ann soon learns that she has a community of people who are there to help her. Immediately, she gets involved with the local church. They hold a cornucopia of Christmas events that Mary Ann participates in.

Subsequently, Mary Ann realizes that being fiercely independent has its limitations. Soon, she learns that community is important. Now that she is a mother, she learns that she doesn’t need to do it all on her own. Also, this experience makes her realize it is ok to need community.

Furthermore, Joe starts to feel motivated to step up too. As he spends more time with Mary Ann and the baby, he stops his lackadaisical ways and is intentional in everything he does. Now, with his new outlook, Joe looks at Mary Ann in a whole new light.
