Harry Wild Season 5 has arrived on Acorn TV, and it brings another Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman reunion to fans of Jane Seymour and Joe Lando. You can sense an instant attraction between Harry (Seymour) and Pierce (Lando) when they meet in the Season 5 premiere, but are these two destined to be love interests?
Seymour and Lando tease what’s to come in Harry Wild Season 5 in the video interview above, conducted in the TV Insider studio. The longtime friends and costars reveal that they filmed two different endings for this season, and they have no idea which version made the final cut. They implied that the alternate endings could be connected to the potential romance between their characters.
Harry Wild Season 5 consists of six episodes total, one weekly through July on the Acorn TV streaming service. In Season 5, Harry, Fergus (Rohan Nedd), and Charlie (Kevin Ryan) are pulled into their most dangerous and complex cases yet. With the help of new pathologist Pierce Kennedy, the team takes on undercover operations, chilling murders, and relentless criminals who push them to the edge. Acorn TV is calling it the show’s “most ambitious season yet.”
Pierce Kennedy is a charming and brilliant new State Pathologist whose arrival quickly makes waves in Harry‘s world. Seymour says that Harry expects the new pathologist to be anything but handsome, let alone a James Bond type (Pierce’s name comes from one of the writers’ loves of 007). When Harry opened the door and saw Pierce in front of her, Seymour says that Harry “tried to be cool, but she couldn’t.”
With chemistry like Seymour and Lando’s, it’s easy to assume that they would play love interests in Harry Wild. The instant chemistry between their characters supports that theory as well. But Lando says “we don’t know for sure” that these two are bound to connect.
“There’s something about my character,” Lando says, “there’s a dark past or something. He’s very reluctant to get involved, although he feels very attracted to her. He feels that energy, that chemistry, but we don’t know what’s going on with him.”
“We don’t know either,” Seymour adds of her and Lando’s knowledge of where this story leads.
Lando explains, “We shot two different endings for the show, too, so we don’t know which way it’s going to go.”
It seems that Harry Wild prepared for multiple outcomes for Harry and Pierce’s relationship, but Seymour teases that they “hope” they get a happy ending.
